Transparency down to the field level is becoming increasingly important, but many devices offer no connection to the automation system. This results in missing data. Siemens is changing this with the compact, intelligent link module SIRIUS 3RC7, which simply clicks between the contactor and circuit breaker and connects to the SIMATIC ET 200SP. It thus forms an intelligent branch feeder 3RA8 – simply digital and multi-intelligently.

The intelligent branch feeders open up entirely new possibilities for planning and engineering, as well as plant operation. Both 3RA8 and 3RC7 can be conveniently configured in TIA Portal and offer useful diagnostic functions. Thanks to their integration into the ET 200SP, branch feeders become part of the automation; devices can be easily expanded and maintained. They bring data transparency down to the field level – with minimal effort.
