Overview

Enjoy your smart life with the MOES MS-104 Wi-Fi+RF Switch Module. This module enables remote control, voice control (with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa), and scheduling for your lighting and appliances via the 'Smart Life' mobile app. It supports control from anywhere in the world and offers device sharing capabilities.

Installation Warnings

1. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local regulations.

4. Install away from strong signal sources (e.g., microwave ovens) to avoid signal interruption ?.

Wiring Diagrams

Wiring Instructions:

1. Turn off power before installation ⚡.
2. Connect wires according to the wiring diagram ?.
3. Insert module into junction box ?.
4. Connect power supply and follow configuration instructions ?.

Diagram Descriptions:

• Diagram 1: With One Switch
  Shows connections for Line (L), Neutral (N), and Light Output (LOUT). An external switch (rocker or reset type) connects to module input terminals (S1, L1).
• Diagram 2: Without Switch
  Shows connections for Line (L) and Neutral (N) to the module, and Light Output (LOUT) to the Light. No external switch is wired to the module's input.
• Diagram 3: With 2-Way Switches
  Illustrates two external switches (rocker or reset) connected to the module's input terminals (S1, L1). Line (L) and Neutral (N) power the module, and Light Output (LOUT) connects to the Light.
• Diagram 4: With Wall Socket
  Shows connections for Line (L) and Neutral (N) to the module, and Light Output (LOUT) to the Light. A wall socket is also depicted, indicating the module can control power to it.

App Configuration (Smart Life App)

Download App: Download the 'Smart Life' App from the App Store or Google Play.

Account Setup: Log in or register using your mobile number or email address. Enter the verification code, set your password, and tap 'Create Family'.

Wi-Fi Pairing Methods:

Method One: Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Pairing (New)

1. Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
2. Open Smart Life/Tuya App, tap '+', then 'Go to add' when prompted.
3. Select the device and tap '+'.
4. Enter Wi-Fi password and tap 'Next' to connect.
5. Device added successfully. Tap 'Done' to name and access the device page.

Method Two: Traditional Pairing

After wiring, press the traditional switch to enter pairing mode:

• Reset Switch: Press button 10 times until rapid beeping (Di-Di-Di...). ?
• Rocker Switch: Press button 20 times (10 ON/OFF cycles) until rapid beeping (Di-Di-Di...). ?
• Switch Module Reset Button: Long press until 'Di-Di' (2 beeps), then continue pressing until rapid beeping (Di-Di-Di...). ?

Pairing Steps (Traditional Method):

1. Open App, tap '+' (top right), select 'Switch (Wi-Fi)'.
2. Confirm indicator blinks rapidly ⚡. Ensure phone and module are on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Confirm when light blinks rapidly (twice/sec).
3. Connecting... Ensure router, mobile, and device are close. ? Connection takes 10-120 seconds depending on network. ☁️
4. Pairing complete. Switch appears in App. ✅

How to Reset Wi-Fi Code: ?

• Reset Switch: Press button 10 times until rapid beeping (Di-Di-Di...). ?
• Rocker Switch: Press button 20 times (10 ON/OFF cycles) until rapid beeping (Di-Di-Di...). ?
• Switch Module Reset Button: Long press until 'Di-Di' (2 beeps), then continue pressing until rapid beeping (Di-Di-Di...). ?

Note: Pay attention to pairing modes for rocker vs. reset switches.

RF Code Pairing and Clearing

How to Pair RF Code: ?

• Reset Switch: Press button 5 times until 'Di-Di' (2 beeps). Then press RF transmitter for pairing. ✅
• Rocker Switch: Press button 10 times (5 ON/OFF cycles) until 'Di-Di' (2 beeps). Then press RF transmitter for pairing. ✅
• Switch Module Reset Button: Long press for 5 sec until 'Di-Di' (2 beeps). Then press RF transmitter for pairing. ✅

How to Clear RF Code: ❌

• Reset Switch: Press button 5 times ('Di-Di'), wait 5 sec, press 5 times again until 'Di-Di-Di-Di' (4 beeps). RF code cleared.
• Rocker Switch: Press button 10 times (5 ON/OFF cycles) ('Di-Di'), wait 5 sec, press 10 times again until 'Di-Di-Di-Di' (4 beeps). RF code cleared.
• Switch Module Reset Button: Long press until 'Di-Di' (2 beeps), wait 5 sec, press for 5 sec until 'Di-Di-Di-Di' (4 beeps). RF code cleared.

Multi-control Association

Note: Ensure Wi-Fi linking is complete before association. Add the switch to your Smart Life App first.

1. Add another smart switch to the same Smart Life/Tuya App. (No need to wire to light, only L & N required).
2. Two devices appear in the app. Tap the main switch to proceed.
3. Tap '+' (top right) and select 'Multi-Control Association'.
4. Select the switch to associate and the button to control the light.
5. Two items appear: main switch and associated switch. Ensure the associated switch is enabled. ✔️
6. Light can now be controlled by two switches. Do not associate another button on the same switch for multi-control.
7. Repeat steps to add more switches. The app will show multiple associated switches.

Manual Override

The switch module terminals allow for manual override. Toggle the switch for permanent on/off function.

Notes: ?

• 1) App and switch adjustments can be reset; the last setting is remembered.
• 2) App control is synchronized with the manual switch.

• Q2: What devices can be connected?
  Most household appliances (lamps, laundry machines, coffee makers, etc.).
• Q3: What happens if Wi-Fi goes offline?
  You can still control via the traditional switch. The module will automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi when it's back online.
• Q4: What if I change Wi-Fi network or password?
  Re-connect the module to the new network via the App User Manual.
