Powering the ML4

The Ledlenser ML4 flashlight can be powered by either a 14500 rechargeable battery or a standard 1.5V AA battery. Ensure the correct battery type is inserted according to the diagram.

Battery Insertion:

• Insert the 14500 battery or 1.5V AA battery into the flashlight body. The diagram indicates inserting the battery with the positive (+) end first.

Operating Modes

The ML4 features White and Red light modes, each with several brightness levels and a blink function.

White Mode

Turning On/Off

To turn the flashlight on or off, perform a quick press (<0.5 seconds) of the button, twice (2x).

Mode Switching (White Light)

From the 'Off' state, a single press (1x) within 5 seconds (≤5s) cycles through the modes:

• Off → Low Power
• Low Power → Mid Power
• Mid Power → Power
• Power → Blink
• Blink → Off (requires a press >5 seconds)

Boost Function

Activate the maximum brightness (Boost) by holding the button for 3 seconds (Hold 3sec).

Red Mode

Turning On/Off

To turn the flashlight on or off, perform a quick press (<0.5 seconds) of the button, twice (2x).

• Off → Low Power

Advanced Features & Indicators

Blinking Indicators

The flashlight may indicate status through blinking:

• 3x blink: Indicates a specific status.
• 4x blink: Indicates a specific status.

Charging Indicator

When charging via a 5V power source, the indicator light shows status:

• Red: Charging
• Yellow: Charging nearing completion
• Green: Fully charged
• Red/Green blinking: Battery error or incorrect insertion (may require >30 minutes to resolve).

Battery Status Check

A quick press (1x) when the light is off may show the battery status:

• Green: Battery OK
• Yellow: Battery low
• Red: Battery critically low
