System Requirements

  • Operating Systems: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10; macOS 10.6 to 10.15; Linux 2.6.31 to 5.11.
  • Processor: Intel/AMD CPU above 1GHz.
  • RAM: 1GB RAM or higher.
  • Interface: Available USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port.

Installation

  1. Step 1: Connect the Adapter

    Plug the UGREEN Bluetooth 5.0 USB Adapter into an available USB port on your computer.

  2. Step 2: Install the Driver

    Insert the provided driver CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. If your computer lacks a CD-ROM drive, download the latest driver from the official UGREEN website.

    Upon inserting the CD or running the installer, a 'Found New Hardware Wizard' dialog will appear. Select 'Install the software automatically (Recommended)' and click 'Next'.

    If a warning message appears stating that the software has not passed Windows Logo testing, click 'Continue Anyway' to proceed with the installation.

    Once the installation is complete, a 'Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard' dialog will confirm the driver installation. Click 'Finish' to exit the wizard.

Verification

To confirm the adapter is installed correctly:

  • Using Device Manager:

    Right-click on 'Computer' and select 'Manage'. In the Computer Management window, navigate to 'Device Manager' from the left pane. Expand the 'Bluetooth Radios' category. The UGREEN Bluetooth adapter should be listed here.

  • Using System Tray:

    Look for the Bluetooth icon in your computer's system tray (usually near the clock). Double-clicking this icon will open the Bluetooth Devices window.

Connecting Bluetooth Devices

  1. Step 1: Add a Device

    In the Bluetooth Devices window, click the 'Add a device' button to start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

Q: The adapter is not recognized by the computer.

A: 1. Ensure the adapter is securely plugged into the USB port. 2. Try connecting the adapter to a different USB port. 3. Uninstall the current driver and reinstall it.

Q: Cannot find Bluetooth devices.

A: 1. Verify that your Bluetooth device is powered on and set to pairing mode. 2. Confirm the UGREEN adapter is installed correctly. 3. Move the Bluetooth device closer to the computer.

Q: Bluetooth connection is unstable.

A: 1. Minimize potential interference from other wireless devices like Wi-Fi routers or microwaves. 2. Ensure the adapter has a clear line of sight and is not obstructed. 3. Check the UGREEN website for the latest driver updates.

Q: Cannot pair with a Bluetooth device.

A: 1. Make sure the target device is not already connected to another computer. 2. Remove any previous pairing records for the device and attempt pairing again. 3. Restart both your computer and the Bluetooth device.

Q: Bluetooth audio is choppy or cutting out.
