Preheating

Preheat your barbecue with the lid down before grilling, steaming, or smoke infusing. Preheat times vary by cooking method.

Lid-Down Cooking

Weber barbecues are designed for lid-down cooking, which enhances flavour and speeds up cooking time.

The suggested settings are based on testing in a sheltered outdoor environment at approximately 20°C. Adjust preheat times, cook settings, or barbecue settings based on your cooking conditions and personal taste.

Cooking Methods and Settings

Direct Cooking

This method involves cooking food directly above a heat source on the cooking grill. A solid hotplate accessory can be used for smaller items.

Extended Cooking Methods

The Reversible Steam Pan and Reservoir allow for steaming, smoking, defrosting, and keeping food warm. Use water for steaming/defrosting/warming, or soaked wood chips for smoking.
