LightLeaf gLeaf Solar Panels
LIGHT, RIGID, FIXED-MOUNT SOLAR FOR ANY BUILD
Product Overview
The gLeaf solar panel by LightLeaf is designed for versatility and durability, suitable for a wide range of applications including RVs, marine vessels, and mobile setups. It combines lightweight construction with robust performance.
Foundation: Features a rigid carbon-fiber foundation that is self-supporting, providing uncompromising strength at an extremely low weight, thus avoiding overloading structures.
Mounting: Equipped with a 1" structural perimeter flange that allows for versatile mounting solutions. The panel also boasts a 'gluable' structural backing, opening up numerous mounting possibilities.
Cells: Utilizes SunPower Maxeon monocrystalline cells, engineered to maximize power output, achieving up to 25% efficiency.
Front Sheet: A durable polycarbonate front sheet offers superior UV protection and abrasion resistance.
Aesthetics: Offers sleek aesthetics with matte black cells and a carbon weave finish, complementing any project.
Technology: Incorporates ROC™ TECHNOLOGY (Rigid Overlay Composite Technology), a proprietary layering system designed to harness the combined strength of carbon and silicone.
Origin: Proudly Canadian Made.
Mounting and Design Features
FitKits: Custom hardware kits (sold separately) are available for mounting the gLeaf onto various structures. Examples include:
- TubeMount: For fixed mounting to arbitrarily spaced 1" tubing.
- Bolted Stand-Off: For fixed mounting to any surface using #8 SS screws with a 1" standoff.
The strong and rigid 1" mounting flange around the entire perimeter simplifies installation, allowing users to drill as needed for RV, marine, or mobile applications.
Profile: The panel features a paper-thin profile, measuring just 3/8" (9mm).
Edge Trim: A rubber edge trim is integrated to prevent dings and ensure snag-free operation.
Junction Box: A waterproof, potted junction box provides robust cable management with 50lb cable pullout resistance.
Curvature: Features a molded curvature designed for sleek mounting.
Corners: The panel includes pain-free rounded corners.
Diagram Description: A detailed diagram illustrates the panel's dimensions: 1073mm x 572mm (42.2in x 22.5in), with specific areas noted for the junction box (9in x 9in / 229mm x 229mm). It highlights the 1" structural and drillable mounting flange and the 'gluable' structural backing.
