Wiring and Connection Overview
Important Note: The Head Unit Connection Lead must be connected first before proceeding with other connections.
The installation involves connecting specific wires:
- Pink Wire: Typically used for Speed Pulse signals.
- Green Wire: Typically used for Park Brake signals.
The diagram illustrates connections to an AfterMarket Radio Harness. Ensure the following:
- Connections for "Permanent Ignition" and "Ignition" power sources are identified.
- Follow the specific connection instructions indicated by symbols: a red 'X' [do not connect] and a green checkmark [connect].
- Some connections may be marked "where Applicable", indicating they are conditional based on the vehicle or head unit.
Steering Wheel Control Functions
This interface allows you to retain the functionality of your vehicle's steering wheel controls with an aftermarket head unit.

Control Functions Mapping
The steering wheel buttons are mapped to the following functions:
- Volume+: Increases audio volume.
- Volume-: Decreases audio volume.
- Seek/Track+: Advances to the next track or radio station.
- Seek/Track-: Reverts to the previous track or radio station.
- Mode: Cycles through audio modes (e.g., Radio, USB, Bluetooth).
- Source: Selects the audio source.
- Mute: Silences the audio output.
- Pick Up: Answers an incoming phone call.
- Hang Up: Ends an active phone call.
