INSTALLING A
HIGH-GAIN ANTENNA

Tools Required

· Power drill
· Metal auger drill bit with a 7/16" setting

· Slip-joint pliers
· Tape or tie-wraps for the cable

Place the antenna in a location near the card reader but away from electronic devices, including fluorescent lights, motors, and transformers.

Drill a 7/16" hole with an auger bit from the top of the door or frame.

Place the cable and the antenna base with the rubber gasket into the hole from the top. Place the star washer on the base, and tighten the nut until the star washer firmly contacts the metal casing for grounding.

Thread it through the rubber grommet and hole, then attach it to the back of the card reader. DO NOT BUNDLE OR COIL THE CABLE.

Attach antenna cable

Tape or tie down the cable so that the door does not pinch or crimp it.
