Safety Instructions

1. General Information

• Check the device for visible damage before using it for the first time. If the device is damaged, it should not be connected to the mains.
• Never connect the device if it has been dropped or gotten wet; contact your dealer for inspection.
• Never expose the device to rain or moisture.
• Never touch the power cord with wet hands.
• For your safety, regularly inspect the connection cable for defective insulation. A damaged cable must be replaced immediately by a specialist.
• Never pull the power cable to unplug the device; pull by the plug.
• The device is maintenance-free internally. Never open the housing or attempt self-repair, as this may void the warranty.
• If the device is not operated for a longer period, disconnect it from the mains.
• Not suitable for children. The scope of delivery may contain small, swallowable parts.

2. Intended Use

• The Professional Power 12V is a power supply for 12V Clearaudio turntables.
• Use only in accordance with the information provided in this user manual.
• Operate only within the maximum permissible connection values as per technical data. Any other use or modification is not intended.

3. Location of Installation

• Set up the device only on leveled surfaces.
• Avoid locations with direct sunlight, temperature fluctuations, and high humidity.
• Do not place near heaters, heat lamps, or other heat-producing devices. The device is designed for operation in heated rooms.
• Never block ventilation slots or cover the device with a cloth or similar.
• Do not place objects with open flames (e.g., burning candles) on the device.
• To prevent overheating, never cover or place anything on top of the Professional Power 12V.

4. Overload

The product complies with safety regulations, but do not leave the device unattended under extreme loads.

5. Maintenance

Use only a soft cloth with a smooth surface or a soft brush for cleaning. Never use aggressive cleaning agents.

6. Health Information

Sustained high volume can lead to hearing damage. Use high volumes responsibly.

7. Service

• During the warranty period, repairs may only be performed by the manufacturer; otherwise, the warranty is void.
• All Clearaudio products should only be serviced by specialist retailers.
• If a repair is necessary, the Professional Power 12V must be sent to Clearaudio through your dealer.

8. Transport

• Always use the original packaging for transporting the Clearaudio Professional Power 12V.
• Pack the device exactly as it was shipped. Safe transport is only guaranteed in original packaging.
• When packing, reverse the assembly and setup steps.

Please check the contents of the package:

Also, check that you have received the correct plug type and version. The required voltage (110 V / 230 V) is noted on the underside of the device and on the box label.

Please note: Using the Professional Power 12V with the wrong voltage can damage the device!

2. Control Elements

The device features a circular front panel and a rear panel with connections. The front panel has a single button. The rear panel includes the main switch, grounding socket, fuse cover, built-in power cable, and an IEC socket for AC power input.

3. Initial Start

Clearaudio uses special packaging for safe transport. Keep this original packaging for future shipping.

Remove the device from the box and place it at the desired location.

Before connecting to the power supply, ensure the main switch on the back is set to '0' (=OFF).

1. Connect the device to the mains using the enclosed power cord.
2. Connect your turntable to the Professional Power 12V using its built-in power cable, instead of the standard plug-in power supply.
3. Turn the main switch on the back to 'I' (=ON).
4. The LED light on the front panel will flash for approximately 40 seconds during startup and voltage stabilization.
5. When the LED light shines continuously, the device is in ON mode and ready. You can now start the turntable.

4. Operating Modes

4.1 Standby Mode:

• The output is deactivated (turntable is not supplied with power).
• The LED light is off.

4.2 ON Mode:

• The output is activated (turntable is supplied with power).
• The LED light shines continuously.

4.3 Dimming the LED:

The front panel LED light can be dimmed or brightened by one level by long-pressing the ON/OFF/Standby button.

5. Turn Off

You can turn off the power to the turntable by pressing the ON/OFF button on the front panel (Standby mode). You do not need to switch off the turntable itself.

The main switch on the back can remain on. This allows the device to be immediately ready for use upon the next power-up without a startup sequence. However, the turntable must be reactivated to its desired speed.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter a problem, first check for possible causes of incorrect operation. If the error persists, contact your dealer.

Warning: Never attempt to open or repair the device yourself, as this will void the warranty!
