Setting up the Mixer
Power on/off: Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn the recording mixer on or off. The button glows green when power is on and turns red when charging.
Charging: If 6 red buttons are flashing or you hear a sound, the recording mixer needs to be charged. If not charged immediately, sound quality may suffer. The mixer can be charged while in use, but may pick up noise from the charging current.
Connections: Ensure all cables are properly inserted all the way into the recording mixer. If connecting to a phone, remove the phone case first as it may damage the cables.
Recording Volume: Adjusts the output volume your listeners will hear. Test output volume levels using the "Record" knob.
Single Mobile Phone Broadcast: Music volume and external backtrack volume are adjusted using the phone volume. The mixer volume controls the microphone. Recommended to test on a separate device away from the microphone to avoid feedback loops.
Computer Recording: Test microphone and sound mixer output before downloading correct device drivers. Your computer may need a restart. If you hear small sounds from the microphone, increase the microphone output on your computer's volume control panel. Use headphones or earphones for best results, avoid speakers.
Pre-Broadcast Check: Test all mixer features before each broadcast to ensure they are working.
Bluetooth Accompaniment: Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone, search for "SA-PODC", and connect. The power button indicator light will turn blue upon successful connection. Music can then be sent to the sound card via Bluetooth as accompaniment music.
LCD Display: Shows volume and echo effect on a scale of 1-15. MIC volume scales with the MIC knob; Reverb effect scales with the Reverb knob.
