- Choose sharing platforms.
- Reminder: You can share 1 to 9 photos at a time, but only one video at a time.
Takeoff / Landing / Emergency Stop
Diagram description: Shows drone hovering about 5 feet off the ground.
Caution: Rotating propellers can be dangerous. Do not start the motors when people are nearby.
- Takeoff: Press the takeoff button ▶️. The propellers will spin, and the drone will lift off to approximately 5 feet. Always keep the drone's front facing forward.
- Landing: Press the landing button ⬇️. The drone will land automatically. Keep your hands on the transmitter while the motors are still running.
- Emergency Stop: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds. This function should only be used in emergencies during flight to reduce the risk of damage or injury.
Follow Me Mode
When Follow Me mode is active, the drone will follow your smartphone's GPS. To activate:
- Position the drone at least 10 feet high and 100 feet away.
- Click the button on the transmitter or in the app interface.
- Wait for the drone status in the "Potensic-G" app to show "Follow Me Ready". The drone will now follow your phone's coordinates.
- To exit Follow Me mode, click the button on the transmitter or in the app interface again.
Common Issues: Follow Me mode may not activate if the phone's GPS signal is too weak due to buildings, trees, or surrounding mobile phone congestion. Use in an open area and be aware of your surroundings. The drone is NOT equipped with obstacle avoidance.
Tap Fly
This function can be activated when the drone is in GPS mode.
- Open the app interface on your mobile phone and tap the map icon.
- Map coordinates will appear.
- Tap a point within the effective WIFI range on the map, then tap the fly button to fly point-to-point.
Diagram description: Shows the app interface with map coordinates and flight path selection.
Return to Home (RTH)
The RTH function returns the drone to the last recorded point. There are three types of RTH: Intelligent RTH, Low Battery RTH, and Failsafe RTH.
- Home (Intelligent RTH): Press the "Return to Home" button on your transmitter or tap the RTH button in the app. The transmitter will beep, and your drone will return to the takeoff point. Press the button again to stop the RTH procedure. Lower the throttle to land the drone safely.
- Low Battery RTH: This activates when the flight battery level is low. The drone will fly back to a point approximately 100 feet away, and you can still control it. Lower the throttle to land safely. If the drone's power is completely depleted, it will return to the configured Takeoff point.
- Failsafe RTH: The drone will enter failsafe mode if the transmitter signal is lost. Reconnect the transmitter to the drone if it comes back into view. Lower the throttle to land the drone safely.
WARNING: This drone is NOT equipped with obstacle avoidance.
Headless Mode
Press the transmitter button to enter Headless mode. Press and hold the transmitter button for 2 seconds to activate HEADLESS mode.
In Headless mode, the forward direction is always relative to the pilot's position when the drone was paired. Pushing the direction joystick forward makes the drone fly forward, backward makes it fly back, left makes it fly left, and right makes it fly right, all relative to the pilot. It is crucial not to change the pilot's position or orientation, as this will cause confusion for the drone.
Diagram description: Shows directional arrows indicating control inputs and their resulting drone movements in Headless mode, emphasizing relative directions.
Trim Mode (No GPS)
This function is only usable in No GPS mode. Trimming is not necessary in GPS mode.
If the drone drifts sideways automatically in No GPS mode, press the left joystick to enter TRIM mode for balanced flight. If the drone drifts left, push the direction joystick right to correct; if it drifts right, push left. Press the left joystick again to exit Trim mode.
How to Find a Lost Drone
Continuously press the button 3 times to open the MAP surface and search for the drone.
The last known position of the lost drone will appear on the map.
Diagram description: Shows the app interface with a map displaying the drone's last known location and the current mobile phone position.
Camera Functions
Press the transmitter button or click the camera indicator in the app. The red indicator will flash once, indicating the camera is taking a photo. Press the transmitter button or tap the app again; the red indicator will continue flashing, indicating the camera is recording video. Press again to save the video. Do not take photos while recording video.
App Icons Description: Shows icons for "Take Photo" and "Take Video".
Note: When using the "Potensic-G" app, original photos and videos are compressed and saved to the mobile phone. Original images and videos are saved on the TF card. Gently press the TF card to eject it, then insert it into a card reader and connect it to a computer's USB port to read the TF card data. Images can also be viewed in the app.
