The Braun Series 9 shaver includes the following components:

Operation & Charging

Charging the Shaver:

• Connect the power supply to the shaver and then to an electrical outlet.
• The display will show the charging status (e.g., 0% to 100%). A full charge typically takes 1 hour.
• Indicators show battery level and remaining usage time.

Shaving:

• The shaver can be operated cordless.
• For optimal shaving, shave against the direction of hair growth.
• The multi-head lock allows for precise shaving by fixing the shaver head at different angles (0°, 10°, 20°).

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning the Shaver Head:

• After each use with foam or gel, clean the shaver head under hot running water.
• Turn the shaver on while rinsing to remove all residues.
• The foil and cutter cassette can be removed using the release buttons for thorough cleaning.
• Ensure the shaver is unplugged before cleaning.
• For hygienic reasons, do not share the appliance with others.

Maintenance:

• Periodically, the foil and cutter cassette (92B) may need replacement. The suggested replacement time is typically 18 months.
• The cleaning station (Type 5430) helps maintain the shaver. Ensure its contacts are clean.
• Oiling the shaver head components may be recommended for optimal performance.

Travel Lock

The travel lock prevents accidental activation of the shaver during transport.

• To activate: Press and hold the on/off button for 3 seconds until the travel lock indicator ? appears.
• To deactivate: Press and hold the on/off button for 3 seconds until the indicator disappears.

Important Safety Instructions

• The charger unit is not for immersion in water or use in the shower.

• Keep the power supply and cleaning station dry.
• Do not open the appliance. Built-in rechargeable batteries can only be replaced by an authorized Braun Service center.
