3.3 Independent Operation Modes
The EUT operates on channels covering the frequency range from 2405 MHz (lowest) to 2480 MHz (highest), with a middle channel at 2445 MHz. The basic operation modes tested were Zigbee transmitting mode and Radio operating mode.
4. Test Set-up and Operation Modes
The EUT was configured to measure its maximum power level. Testing followed procedures outlined in ANSI C63.10: 2013, using test software sscom 5.13.1. The power parameter setting for Zigbee mode was 10.
Auxiliary equipment used included a Lenovo Laptop, Apple iPhone 15, Apple HomePod mini, and an IKEA remote control (Model E2489).
5. Test Results
5.1 Conducted Testing at Antenna Port
5.1.1 Antenna Requirement
The EUT passed the antenna requirement tests. It features an internal metal monopole antenna with a gain of -1.02 dBi, designed for permanent attachment, complying with FCC and RSS regulations.
5.1.2 6dB & 99% Bandwidth
The EUT passed the bandwidth tests. The 6dB bandwidth was measured to be approximately 1.75 MHz, and the 99% occupied bandwidth was approximately 2.25 MHz across the tested frequencies (2405 MHz, 2445 MHz, 2480 MHz).
5.1.3 Output Power
The EUT passed the output power tests. Peak conducted output power measurements were:
Frequency [MHz] | Peak Conducted Output Power [dBm] | Limit [dBm] |
---|---|---|
2405 | 9.8 | 30 |
2445 | 9.4 | 30 |
2480 | 9.4 | 30 |
The EIRP (Effective Isotropic Radiated Power) was noted to be well below the 4 W (36 dBm) limit.
5.1.4 Power Spectral Density
The EUT passed the power spectral density tests. Measured PSD values were below the limit of 8.0 dBm for all tested frequencies (2405 MHz, 2445 MHz, 2480 MHz), with values around -1.75 dBm to -2.24 dBm.
5.1.5 Conducted Band Edge and out-of Band Emissions
The EUT passed the conducted band edge and out-of-band emissions tests. Plots illustrating these results are provided in the original document.
5.2 Emission in the Frequency Range up to 30MHz
5.2.1 Conducted Emission
The EUT passed the conducted emission tests (AC 120V, 60Hz). Measurements for QuasiPeak and Average values were within the specified limits across the tested frequency range (150 kHz to 30 MHz).
5.3 Emission in the Frequency Range above 30MHz
5.3.1 Radiated Band-Edge
The EUT passed the radiated band-edge tests. Emission levels at the band edges were within the regulatory limits.
5.3.2 Radiated Spurious Emission
The EUT passed the radiated spurious emission tests. All measured emissions across the tested frequency ranges (30 MHz to 18 GHz) were found to be below the applicable limits. No emissions were detected in the 18 GHz to 25 GHz range.
