Product Description
The B01-010A is a bait station snap trap detection device. It indicates whether a trap is in an open or closed state and assigns a timestamp when the trap is detected as closed. The device utilizes a hall sensor and a magnet in the trap housing to determine the trap's state. It is equipped with LoRaWAN capabilities for direct device-to-cloud connection via a configurable heartbeat interval.
Product Installation
The B01-010A is installed within a plastic housing that is sonically welded to provide complete protection from various installation environments and rodents. A CR123 battery must be connected to the B10-010A before installation into the plastic housing.
Product Operation
Upon powering, the device enters a deep sleep state with the snap trap in a closed (un-provisioned state). Opening the snap trap for 5 seconds wakes the device, and it attempts to join a LoRaWAN network (provisioned state).
Un-provisioning a device can occur in two ways:
- A downlink LoRa payload can configure the unit back to the un-provisioned state, causing it to return to deep sleep.
- Opening and closing the trap 10 times within 20 seconds will cause the unit to change to the un-provisioned state and return to deep sleep.
