Serial Numbering System
The serial numbers (SN) are designed to consist of a six to seven-digit alpha-numeric code that defines the year, month, and individual tool serial number (S/N).
- Year: A 1-digit code starting from 2006.
- Month: A 1-digit code using 12 alpha month codes that repeat annually.
- Individual Tool S/N: A 4-digit code starting at 0001 each month, or a 5-digit code starting at 00001 each month.
Example: A serial number might be represented as '6F12345', where '6' indicates the year (e.g., 2006), 'F' indicates the month (e.g., June), and '12345' is the individual tool serial number.
