Introduction
This software delivers content to applicable models. It can be distributed to up to 20 applicable models.
Important Information
- This software has been shipped after strict quality control and product inspection. If you find any failure, contact your product dealer.
- SHARP CORPORATION bears no responsibility for errors made during use by the customer or a third party, nor for any other malfunctions or damage to this software arising during use, except where indemnity liability is recognized under law.
- Transcribing or duplicating part or all of this manual and/or this software without permission from SHARP CORPORATION is not permitted.
- As a part of its policy of continuous improvement, SHARP reserves the right to make design and specification changes for product improvement without prior notice.
- The screens and procedures are examples. The contents or details may vary depending on the screen configuration and OS version, etc. The screen is for explanatory purposes.
- This manual does not contain basic operating instructions for Windows.

Install
Please download the setup program using the Information Display Downloader. For this software information, refer to the Information Display Downloader manual.
TIP
- This can only be done by a user with administrator authority.
- If SHARP Digital Signage Software or e-Signage S is already installed on your computer, you cannot install this software.
- To use this software, you must agree to the software license agreement that appears during installation.
- Exit all applications that are running.
- Double-click the downloaded setup program.
- For the remainder of the procedure, follow the instructions shown on the screen.
- When the "User Account Control" dialog box appears, click "Yes" (or "Allow").
- When a security warning screen (The publisher could not be verified.) appears, click "Allow".
- Click "Finish" button when the Installation Complete dialog appears. This completes the installation of this software.
How to use
Starting this software
There are the following ways to start this software:
- On the desktop, double-click the "LS-Signage" shortcut icon.
- Click the "Start" button, and then select "All Programs" - "LS-Signage".
When this software starts for the first time, the port number used by the web server function appears (normally used 18080). This port number can be checked later by right-clicking on "LS-Signage HTTP Server" and selecting "About HTTP Server" - "Server Info".
If the following dialog appears, click "Allow":

Windows Firewall has blocked some features of e-Signage HTTP Server on all public and private networks.

This software uses some common files with e-Signage.
LS-Signage Interface
The main interface includes:
- Content Folder Management: Create content folders and manage content and playlists.
- Distribution: Distribute content folders.
- Panel Management: Registration and edit of Player devices.
- Dashboard
Panel Management
- Register the monitor that will deliver the content to this software. The monitor settings must be changed before registering.
- Content Folder Management: Register the contents you want to distribute in a folder. Distribute different contents by preparing multiple folders.
- Distribution: Distribute contents registered in a folder to applicable models.
Register monitors
Follow the steps below to register the monitor that will deliver the content to this software:
- Change the monitor settings.
- Register the monitor to this software.
TIP
In this software, a registered monitor is called a "panel".
Change the monitor settings
Change the monitor settings to register the monitor to this software. Use the ePaper Settings Tool applicable with the monitor to change the monitor settings. For information about the ePaper Settings Tool, please refer to the ePaper Settings Tool manual.
- Set the following in "System Settings" of "Display":
- Set "Content Playback Mode" to "e-Signage S Player".
- Set the clock of the monitor in "Date and Time".
- Set "Network Settings" in "Display" to connect the monitor to the network.
- Apply the "Display" settings to the monitor and connect the monitor to the network.
- Set the following in "Network setting" of "e-Signage S Player":
- Set "Content distribution method" to "PULL".
- Set "Host name or IP address" to the IP address of the computer this software is running on. (See "TIP" below.)
- Set "Port number" to the port number which is displayed when this software started the first time. (Normally 18080.)
- Set "User name" to "http".
- Set "Password" to "http".
- Set "Tenant ID" to "group1".
- Set "Player ID" to "%playerid%".
- Apply the "e-Signage S Player" settings to the monitor.
* Player ID is a character string starting with "@" to identify monitors. When "Player ID" is set to "%playerid%", a unique player ID will be automatically set and the monitor will notify the player ID to this software and request registration.
The monitor will notify the player ID to this software and request registration.
The results will appear on the monitor:
Player ID= @EP-xxxx-xxxxXXXX
RESULT: SUCCESS
This message will disappear by pressing MODE button.
When set the player ID manually, set the player ID in "Player ID". To register the monitor to this software, click "Add" in Panel Management screen.
The next steps will be performed using this software.
TIP
Check the IP address by following the steps:
- Press the [Windows] key + [I] key.
- Click "Network & Internet".
- Select "Ethernet" or "Wi-Fi" from the menu on the left, depending on your connection. For Ethernet, click on your network connection, and scroll down to see your IP address listed under "Properties". For Wi-Fi, click on your network connection, and your IP address will be displayed under "IP settings".
* IP address of the computer this software is running on should be fixed.
Register the monitor to this software (Panel Management)
- Select "Panel Management" in the software's launcher.
- If there is a monitor waiting for registration, a dialog will appear: "1 registration request(s) comes. Are you sure to register?" Click "Yes".
- Register all monitors waiting for registration. Panel name will be player ID minus "@".

Register the monitor manually. Specify the "Panel Name" and "Player ID".
- [Edit Icon] Change "Panel Name" and "Player ID".
- [Delete Icon] Delete the panel.
Prepare content (Content Folder Management)
Register the content you want to distribute in a folder. Distribute different content by preparing multiple folders.
- Select "Content Folder Management" in the software's launcher.

Create a folder to register the content.
- Click "Add".
- Specify "Folder Name", "Folder Description" and "Duration".
- Click "Add". The folder will be created.
Note on Duration: Duration is only functional if this folder contains more than 1 image.
Register content in a folder
- Click "Add Content" icon [Add Content Icon]. The corresponding folder will open in Explorer.
- Copy the content into the opened folder.
Preview the content
- Click "Preview" icon [Preview Icon]. To close the preview, press the [ESC] key.
TIP
- The preview is for reference. Actual playback may differ.
- PDF cannot be previewed.
Delete a folder
- Click "Delete" icon [Delete Icon].
Distribute content (Distribution)
Distribute contents registered in a folder to applicable models. Set the folder to distribute to each panel.
- Select "Distribution" in the software's launcher. This screen shows the distribution status.

The following distribution methods are available:
- Distribute via the network
- Distribute using a USB flash drive
Distribute via the network
- Click "Distribute".
- Select "Distribution via network", and click "Next".
- Select the folder you want to distribute, and click "Confirm Distribution".
- Select the panel to distribute content, and click "Confirm Distribution".
Distribute using a USB flash drive
- Connect the USB flash drive to the computer.
- Click "Distribute".
- Select "USB memory/SD card", and click "Next".
- Select the folder you want to distribute, and click "Confirm Distribution".
- Select the destination drive.
- After saving is complete, remove the USB flash drive from the computer.
- Connect the power source to the monitor.
- Connect the USB flash drive to the USB port (for data) on the monitor. The content saved on the USB flash drive will be distributed in the monitor. The indicator will flash red while the USB flash drive is being accessed. Do not remove the USB flash drive. The indicator will stop flashing red after the settings have been applied.
- Remove the USB flash drive once the settings have been applied.
Uninstall
TIP
This can only be done by a user with administrator authority.
- Exit this software.
- Select "Settings" from the "Start" menu.
- Click "Apps".
- Select "LS-Signage" and click "Uninstall".
- For the remainder of the procedure, follow the instructions shown on the screen. When the "User Account Control" dialog box appears, click "Yes" (or "Allow").
This completes the uninstallation.
