Bosch EasyAquatak 100 Pressure Washer
This document provides comprehensive instructions for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Bosch EasyAquatak 100 pressure washer.
Safety Notes
General Hazard Safety Alert: Never direct the water jet at people, animals, the machine, or electric components. High-pressure jets can be dangerous if misused.
Drinking Water Network: The appliance must not be used on the drinking water network without a system separator as per IEC 61770 Type BA. Water flowing through a system separator is considered not drinkable.
Safety Notes for Pressure Washer: Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Warning and information signs on the unit provide important safety information. Comply with general safety regulations and accident prevention regulations.
Connecting to the Mains: Ensure the power source voltage matches the product's type plate. Connect only to a socket protected by a 30 mA residual current circuit breaker. The circuit breaker should have a C16 rating. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt. Do not modify the electrical system yourself. Remove the plug when the machine is unattended. Electrical supply installation should comply with IEC 60364-1. If the supply cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified service agent. Plugs and sockets near work sites or outdoors should be IP 55 rated. Drip-proof (IP X2) plugs and sockets are suitable for indoor use away from water spray.
Water Connection: Comply with your water supply company's regulations. All connecting hoses must have properly sealed joints. The supply hose must be at least 12.7 mm (1/2") in diameter and reinforced. Never use the appliance on the drinking water supply without a back flow valve. High-pressure hoses must not be damaged; replace immediately. Use only manufacturer-recommended hoses and connections. Only clean or filtered water should be used.
Application: Before use, check that the machine and operating equipment are in perfect condition. Do not direct the jet against yourself or others. Do not use solvent-containing liquids, undiluted acids, acetone, petrol, paint thinners, or heating oil, as their vapors are flammable, explosive, and toxic.
Operating Precautions: Observe safety regulations in dangerous areas (e.g., petrol stations). Do not operate in potentially explosive locations. Place the unit on a solid base. Ensure adequate ventilation in confined spaces. Keep vehicles switched off during cleaning. Operation requires both hands; do not operate from a ladder. Be careful on balconies or raised areas. Use only manufacturer-recommended detergents. Other cleaning agents may affect safety. Protect all current-conducting components from splashed water. Do not jam the gun trigger in the "ON" position. Aerosols may form during use; inhalation can be hazardous. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles and breathing protection. High pressure may cause objects to rebound. Clean vehicle tires/tyre valves from a minimum distance of 30 cm to avoid damage. Do not spray materials containing asbestos or other hazardous substances. Detergents must not be used undiluted. Keep detergents out of reach of children. If detergent contacts eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water. If swallowed, contact a doctor immediately. Never use the pressure washer without the filter or with a dirty or damaged filter, as this may invalidate the warranty.
Operation: Metal parts may become hot; wear protective gloves if necessary. Avoid high-pressure washing in bad weather, especially during thunderstorms. Wear suitable protective clothing against splash water. Do not use the appliance near persons unless they wear protective clothing.
The operator must use the product in accordance with regulations and local conditions, paying attention to others, especially children. The unit may only be used by authorized persons who have received training. It must not be operated by children or juveniles. Never allow children, persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations, or those lacking experience or knowledge, or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the product. Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product. The unit must never be left unsupervised while switched on. The water jet produces recoil; hold the gun and spray lance firmly with both hands. Never use a roto nozzle or pencil jet to clean motor vehicles.
Transport: Switch off the motor and secure the unit before transporting.
Maintenance: Switch off the unit before any cleaning, maintenance, or component replacement. Pull out the mains plug if mains-operated. Repairs may only be carried out by authorized Bosch Service Centres.
Accessories and Spare Parts: Use only Bosch-approved accessories and spare parts for safe and breakdown-free operation.
Symbols: Pay attention to the symbols and their meanings for safe and effective product use.
Intended Use
The product is intended for cleaning areas and objects outside the house, tools, vehicles, and boats, using appropriate accessories and cleaning agents approved by Bosch. It is designed for operation within 0 °C and 40 °C ambient temperature and is not intended for professional use. The product should be kept in an upright position when placed on the ground.

Maintenance and Service
Maintenance
Stop, remove plug from the power supply and disconnect from water supply. Regularly check for obvious defects such as loose fixings, and worn or damaged components. Check that covers and guards are undamaged and correctly fitted. Carry out necessary maintenance or repairs before using. If the power supply cord needs to be replaced, this must be done by Bosch or an authorized after-sales service centre.
After use/Storage
Turn the main switch off and operate the trigger to drain the water from the high-pressure hose. Clean the exterior of the machine thoroughly using a soft brush or cloth. Do not use water, solvents or polishes. Remove all debris, especially from the ventilation slots. End of season storage: Drain water out of the pump by running the motor for a few seconds. Pull the trigger to release all water. Do not place other objects on top of the machine. Store in a frost-free area. Ensure cables are not trapped when storing. Do not kink the high-pressure hose.
Environmental Protection
Chemicals dangerous to the environment must not enter the ground, ground water, or ponds, streams, etc. For cleaning agents, observe instructions on the package and prescribed concentration. For cleaning motor vehicles, observe local regulations. Do not allow sprayed oil to enter ground water. Recycle raw materials instead of waste disposal.
