Microsemi Libero SoC STA Coverage Issue Advisory

Microsemi's technical advisory CN20022 details a Static Timing Analysis (STA) coverage issue found within the Libero SoC software. This issue specifically impacts scenarios involving netlist tie-off information for certain product families.

Affected Products and Scenarios

The advisory identifies that the issue affects the SmartFusion2, IGLOO2, RTG4, and PolarFire product families. It outlines specific design configurations, such as directly instantiated tie-offs or specific synthesis directives, that can lead to incomplete STA analysis.

While the defect is limited to missed paths during STA, Microsemi confirms that no performance degradation has been observed in regression suites, and the resulting programming bitstreams remain functionally correct.

Action Required

For ongoing or new designs, Microsemi recommends upgrading to specific versions of the Libero SoC software to incorporate the fix. For completed designs with no negative timing slack, no action is required.

For further assistance or questions, users are directed to the Microsemi Technical Support department via their support portal: Microsemi Support Portal.
