LED COMMERCIAL MODULE - #00129 INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE FIND A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR INSTALLATION. Please read and understand this entire manual and all product labels before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product. WARNING: RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK · LED Retrofit Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical systems. Installation should be performed only by a qualified electrician in accordance with the national electric code (NEC) and all applicable federal, state and local electric codes and safety standards. · Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings. · To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects. · Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation. · INSTALLATION SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED AFTER POWER TO THE FIXTURE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. · THIS RETROFIT KIT IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT OF A SUITABILITY OF THE COMBINATION SHALL BE DETERMINED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION. · Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. · This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. LED COMMERCIAL MODULE - #00129 INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS ! WARNING - TURN OFF POWER SUPPLY FROM MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING. SPEC-SELECTTM FIXTURES - FIELD ADJUSTABLE WATTAGE, CCT & BEAM ANGLE · The end users may adjust the color temperature and lumen output, respectively, by the two slide switches on the back for the LED module engine. The left slide switch controls the wattage, and the right slide switch allows for CCT color selection. (Fig. A) · Beam angle can be adjusted from 24°-45° by rotating the area around the lens of the module. Align the notch of the Reflector Kit with the 1 2 3 4 "unlock" position of the LED module engine. 2. Push the Reflector Kit down. 3. Turn the Reflector Kit counterclockwise to align the notch with the locked position. 4. Finished. Connect BLACK (line) driver lead to voltage supply LINE position (HOT). 2. Connect driver WHITE lead to the NEUTRAL supply position. 3. Connect the GREEN ground lead to the supply GROUND lead. 0-10V DIMMING CONNECTION 4. Connect PURPLE lead to supply POSITIVE (+) dimming lead. 5. Connect PINK lead to the supply NEGATIVE () dimming lead. If NOT Using 0-10V Dimming: Cap 0-10V driver dimmer leads separately if unused. Failure to do so may cause flickering lights, premature failure, and void warranty. GENERAL WIRING DIAGRAM TO SOURCE 120-277V Black (Line) White (Neutral) Green (Ground) Purple (Dim+) Pink (Dim-) RETROFIT INSTALLATION 1. Remove existing lamp and reflector. If existing trim or can are Fig. Fig. present, remove from the ceiling or move it out of the way. Make 1 2 sure to retain existing rough-in kit components. (Fig. 1) 2. Measure the ceiling opening and ensure the edge of the downlight retrofit will cover the entire hole and sit firmly in the ceiling. Specifications subject to change without notice. WARNING - TURN OFF POWER SUPPLY FROM MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING. RETROFIT INSTALLATION 3. Attach the carabiner safety lanyard to the existing fixture housing. (Fig. 2) 4. Remove the junction box faceplate. Disconnect wiring to existing ballast. Remove appropriate knock out on junction box. 5. Connect incoming power to fixture input leads; insert the downlight conduit into the J-box and wire to the power source. See electrical connection on Page 2. Reattach the J-box cover when done. (Ground the overall system in accordance with NEC and local codes). (Fig. 3) 6. Bend the spring clips upward so they are in an upright and insert downlight into hole in the ceiling / housing. (Fig. 4) 7. Once downlight is inside the ceiling and housing, release the spring clips and push the fixture up into the ceiling until securely seated and flush with the ceiling (Rotating the downlight may be necessary to properly engage the spring clips and ensure a secure fit). If using a new construction pan, install it in the ceiling first. 2. If a new hole is needed, cut hole according to downlight cut-out dimension per table on page 2 for corresponding reflector size / item number. (Fig. 7) 3. Attach the carabiner safety lanyard to secure place inside the ceiling. (Fig. 8) 4. Remove the junction box faceplate. Disconnect wiring to existing ballast. Remove appropriate knock out on junction box. 5. Connect incoming power to fixture input leads; insert the downlight conduit into the J-box and wire to the power source. See electrical connection on Page 2. Reattach the J-box cover when done. (Ground the overall system in accordance with NEC and local codes). (Fig. 9) 6.
