Description

The Danfoss EvoFlat 4.0 W Flat station is designed for easy installation, maintenance, and use, making it particularly suitable for multi-family buildings connected to central or district heating systems. Its innovative design features a body made from reinforced PPS composite, ensuring a lightweight unit with limited internal heat emission. The smooth surface helps reduce scaling and clogging. All components are fitted with click-fit connections, eliminating the need for retightening, unlike conventional stations with numerous pipes and screw connections.

Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Capabilities:

The EvoFlat 4.0 station is available in four heat exchanger sizes, catering to requirements from 37 kW up to 80 kW. A built-in flow actuator manages primary and secondary side flow through the heat exchanger, activating only when hot water is tapped and blocking the flow immediately after the tapping ends. The intelligent controller considers both flow volume and temperature, acting as a self-adjusting thermostatic flow controller. This ensures accurate and stable water temperatures and optimizes hydronic balance across multiple stations connected to the same heating source. An optional domestic hot water circulation set can be fitted if required.

Accessories

Recess Boxes

The recess box is constructed from galvanized steel with a frame and door powder-coated in RAL9016. Brackets for mounting the flat station and distribution unit are integrated for quick installation. The box is fully enclosed, opening at the bottom with adjustable mounting feet (up to 120 mm height adjustment). A mounting rail with seven ball valves is included separately. It can be installed within a wall or mounted on a wall.

Design and Technical Specifications

The Danfoss EvoFlat™ flat station is engineered for direct heating and hygienic safe hot water provision. It features a control valve operating without auxiliary energy within a continuous flow system, mounted on a heat-insulated base plate with an EPP heat insulation hood for flush or surface mounting.

Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Heating: Tap water is heated via heat exchangers using the continuous flow principle. The tap water temperature is regulated by a self-acting controller, ensuring ease of use. The flow-controlled part enables primary and secondary flow through the heat exchanger only during hot water tapping, blocking flow immediately after. The thermostat part regulates the hot water temperature. The fast-acting control valve minimizes limescale deposits and bacteria growth. The controller, combined with a differential pressure controller, maintains a constant DHW temperature even with varying flow and differential pressures. A thermostatically controlled bypass valve (summer bypass) keeps the primary line warm. A connection for domestic hot water circulation is standard, with the circulation kit available as an option.

Supply-Side Equipment: Includes temperature and pressure regulators, two differential pressure regulators, a zone valve, strainer, and ventilation. Marked as Danfoss. Features a fitting piece for heat meters (G3/4"x110mm) in the return flow and a sensor holder for direct immersion sensors (M10x1mm).

Heat Exchanger: Utilizes a seal-less stainless steel plate heat exchanger, brazed with stainless steel braze under vacuum for a compact unit. The New Micro Plate™™ technology offers enhanced heat transfer, lower pressure losses, and extended service life due to its corrosion-resistant design. Calculations and materials comply with AD data sheets. Manufactured according to DIN ISO 9001 and CE tested per Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (PED). Marked as Danfoss, Type: XB05H.

Tap-Water-Side Equipment: Includes a fitting piece for cold water meters (G3/4"x110mm) at the CW inlet.
