Key Tools and Information
Description | Symbol | Information |
---|---|---|
Drill | [Drill] | You will need a crosshead M4 attachment. |
Aluminium Saw | [Aluminium Saw] | Use a fine tooth aluminium saw with a clean, sharp blade when cutting posts or slats. |
Rubber mallet | [Rubber Mallet] | For securing slats on top of each other and the top cap onto the last slat. |
Bolt-Down | [Bolt-Down] | 4 x M12 bolts required to fix each bolt-down post. |
Concrete-In | [Concrete-In] | Place 565-570mm into the ground. For further stability, we suggest inserting a galvanised steel tube Ø 26.9 x 300mm (cut from code: 160225) horizontally through the concrete pouring hole. |
Post Types and Specifications
Concrete-In Posts
Diagram Description: Illustrates a concrete-in fence post installation. Dimensions B (Ground Clearance) and C (Concrete-In depth) are indicated. A table provides specific measurements for different fence heights.
Fence Height (m) | Ground Clearance (B) (mm) | Concrete-In (C) (mm) | Post Size (H x W x D mm) | Code |

Board Configuration Guide
IMPORTANT: Refer to the table below when determining fence height and the required gap between boards.
For 1.2m High Fences:
Fence Height (A) (m) | Gap Between Boards (mm) | Ground Clearance (mm) | Number of Boards Needed | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
No Gap | 20mm Gap | 40mm Gap | No Gap | 20mm Gap | 40mm Gap | ||
1.2 | 1050 | 1110 | 1130 | 50 | 10 | 9 | 8 |
1.8 | 1850 | 1830 | 1830 | 50 | 18 | 15 | 13 |
For 1.8m High Fences:
O/A Fence Height (m) | Gap Between Boards (mm) | Ground Clearance (mm) | Number of Boards Required | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
No Gap | 20mm | 40mm | No Gap | 20mm | 40mm | ||

Note: The table for 1.2m high fences lists the total fence height (A) and the corresponding board gaps and number of boards. The second table for 1.8m high fences provides similar details, with multiple row options for the 1.8m height, allowing for different board spacing configurations.
Codes for 1.2m High Fences: Bolt-down post: 76PB5012B. Concrete-in post: 76PC5012B.
Codes for 1.8m High Fences: Bolt-down post: 76PB7518B. Concrete-in post: 76PC7518B.
Installation Steps
Diagram Description: A series of 10 diagrams illustrate the installation process. Key steps include setting post centres (e.g., 1800mm apart), starting a run, intermediate post placement, and ending a run. Components and specific codes are referenced in each diagram.
Diagram 1: Shows two posts with a horizontal line indicating a 1800mm measurement between their centers. Text: "Bolt Down or Concrete-In Posts."
Diagrams 2-10: These sequential illustrations depict the assembly of the fence. They show posts being erected, slats being inserted into post channels, and the overall structure taking shape. Specific components and part codes (e.g., 5004PS4213, 76A001B12, 76S001CB) are often shown near the relevant parts in the diagrams, guiding the installation process from start to finish.
Important Note: Post centre measurements are shown as a guide only. Whilst MARANO® and F.H. Brundle do their best to advise and guide, it remains the installer's responsibility to ensure the final installation complies with any current building regulations and is securely installed. As MARANO® and F.H. Brundle have no knowledge of the location, ground type, or the layout of your system, they would always advise customers to consider these factors and adjust as appropriate.
