Introduction

SNZB-04P is a Zigbee 3.0 protocol-based door/window sensor equipped with a tamper-proof feature. It senses the open and close status of doors and windows by detecting the proximity of the transmitter and magnet. This sensor seamlessly interacts with other smart devices to easily create various scenarios, such as automatically turning on lights when a door is opened, triggering audible and visual alarms in case of unauthorized entry, and sending app notifications to keep you informed.

Components

The SNZB-04P consists of the following parts:

  • 1. Transmitter: The main sensor unit.
  • 2. Button: Used for pairing and other functions.
  • 3. LED indicator (Red): Provides status feedback.
  • 4. Battery cover: Houses the battery.
  • 5. Alignment mark for installation: Helps in correct positioning.
  • 6. Magnet: Detects the open/close status when near the transmitter.

eWeLink App & SONOFF Zigbee Gateway Setup

To use the SNZB-04P, download the eWeLink App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and add a SONOFF Zigbee gateway.

Pairing Guide: Scan QR Code to Add Device

  1. Step 1: Take out the battery insulation sheet to power on the device.
  2. Step 2: Enter "scan QR code" mode in the eWeLink App.
  3. Step 3: Scan the QR code on the device.
  4. Step 4: Select "Add Device" in the app.
  5. Step 5: Long press the button on the device for 5 seconds. The LED indicator will flash slowly for 180s.
  6. Step 6: Select your Zigbee gateway in the app.
  7. Step 7: Wait until the addition is done. The LED indicator flashing twice indicates the device and hub are in effective communication distance.

Matched Gateways

SONOFF Gateways: ZBBridge, ZBBridge–P, NSPanel PRO, AIBridge, ZBDongel–P, ZBDongel-E.

Third-party compatible gateway models: Amazon Gateway Model: Echo Plus 2nd, Echo Show 2nd. Other gateways supporting ZigBee3.0 wireless protocol.

Note: Displays as a human motion sensor under some gateways.

Installation

General Note: Install the device in the desired place, then press the Pairing button. The LED indicator flashing twice means the device and the hub are in effective communication distance.

Steps:

  1. Tear off the protective film of the 3M adhesive.
  2. Try to align the mark line on the magnet with that on the transmitter during installation.
  3. Install them in the opening and closing area separately (e.g., on doors or windows).

Cautions:

Make sure the installation gap is less than 20mm when the door or the window is closed.
