Luna® G3 BPAP 25A (LG3700) Patient Quick Set-Up Guide
1. Button Functions
- Home Button: Return to the previous menu or main interface ?
- Knob: Adjust device settings ⚙️
- Start / Stop Button: Start / Stop delivering air ▶️
2. Setting up the Device
The diagram shows the components for setting up the device: a mask, a tube, an optional tubing elbow adapter, a power cord, a power adapter, and the main device. The main device has labeled ports: ① Heated Tubing Port, ② Air Outlet, ③ DC Inlet, ④ Filter Cap (Air Inlet), ⑤ Reusable Air Filter, and ⑥ Disposable Ultra-fine Filter.
- A. Connect one end of the tube to the assembled mask.
- B. Connect one end of the tube to the air outlet of the device. Alternatively, connect the heated tubing joint to the air outlet and then insert the power plug of the heated tubing into the heated tubing port on the back of the device. Note: The tubing elbow adapter can be connected between the device air outlet and the tubing (heated or standard) to help direct the tubing.
- C. Connect the power adapter to the DC inlet of the main device.
- D. Connect the power cord to the power adapter.
- E. Plug the power cord into the power outlet.
- F. If using the disposable ultra-fine filter, first place the reusable air filter. The reusable air filter should be closest to the filter cap, and the disposable ultra-fine filter should be closest to the device. Install the filter cap containing the filters onto the device. Note: Replace the reusable air filter at least every 6 months and the disposable ultra-fine filter at least every 2 weeks. Replace more often if filters show holes or blockages. The disposable ultra-fine filter is not washable or reusable.
3. Removing the Water Chamber
The diagram illustrates pressing down on the water chamber to remove it from the device.
Press down the water chamber, and then remove it.
⚠️ WARNING! Turn the device off and allow the heating plate and water to cool for approximately 15 minutes before removing the Water Chamber.
4. Adjusting Device Settings
Connect the power cord and adapter. The screen displays the Main Interface. Press the Start / Stop Button ▶️ to begin delivering air. The screen will then show the Main Interface with settings like Pressure, Flow, Leak, and Ramp Time.
When the cursor is on the settings icon (⚙️), press the Knob ⚙️ to access the Initial Setup Interface of the Patient Menu. The 'Heated Tubing' option can only be adjusted if the device is connected to a heated tube.
Press the Knob ⚙️ to select the option to be changed.
Turn the Knob ⚙️ to adjust the selected option.
Press the Knob ⚙️ to confirm the adjustment.
The cursor moves among options as you turn the Knob ⚙️. Refer to steps C-E to adjust other options. Press the Home Button ? to exit the Setup Interface.
The device interface displays options such as Humidifier, Heated Tubing, Tubing Type, Accessories reminder, Delay Off, Brightness, Stby screen saver, Work screen saver, Backlight, WiFi, and Time.
5. Starting Treatment
After adjusting device settings and returning to the Main Interface, press the Start / Stop Button ▶️ to begin treatment.
6. Usage score of Luna® G3 BPAP 25A
After each treatment, the Luna® G3 BPAP 25A provides a Usage Score (for CPAP and AutoCPAP modes only) and Usage Summary on the screen. This offers a quick understanding of the usage for the preceding day (from 12:00 noon to 12:00 noon).
The total score is 100 points, broken down as follows:

Mask seal (20 points): Scores up to 20 points for good mask fit without leakage. 5 points deducted for every 5 L/min increase in leakage above 10 L/min.

Respiratory events (20 points): Fewer events (apneas and hypopneas) result in a higher score. Scores 20 points if AHI is less than 5, with 4 points deducted for every 5 increase in AHI.
