Motorola VM50G Video Baby Monitor Quick Start Guide

Models: VM50G, VM50G-2, VM50G-3, VM50G-4

1. Setting Up Your Digital Video Baby Monitor

A. Connecting Power to the Camera Unit

Connect the small plug of the power adapter to the camera unit and the other end to a suitable electrical outlet. Use only the supplied adapter (5V DC, 1000mA). Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position.

WARNING: Strangulation Hazard: Children have STRANGLED on cords. Keep this cord out of the reach of children (more than 1 meter away). Never use extension cords with AC adapters. Use only the supplied AC adapters.

B. Connecting Power to the Parent Unit

Connect the DC plug of the power adapter to the parent unit and the other end to a suitable electrical outlet. Use only the supplied adapter (5V DC, 1000mA).

The rechargeable battery (2000 mAh Lithium-ion battery) inside the parent unit allows you to move the unit without losing connection and video from the camera unit. The battery allows the parent unit to operate for up to 5 hours. We recommend charging the parent unit for at least 16 hours before first use or when the parent unit indicates the battery is low.

To turn on the parent unit, press and hold the POWER button on top of the parent unit.

NOTE: When the camera and parent units are on and within range, the parent unit should display a color image from the camera unit. If the room is dark, the image will be black and white due to the infrared illumination from the camera unit, and an icon will be displayed.
