3. Installation

Follow these steps to install the DZS 2466GN:

  1. Remove the fiber service cover to expose the GPON port.
  2. Connect the fiber optic cable with an SC/APC termination to the GPON port.
  3. Re-attach the fiber service cover onto the 2466GN.
  4. Connect the telco cable from the POTS port to home phone lines.
  5. Connect the Ethernet cable from a GE port to a PC.
  6. Connect the power cable from the power port to an electrical outlet.
  7. (Optional) Connect the Battery Backup Unit power and telemetry to the UPS port.

Mounting on a Wall

If necessary, the ONT can be mounted on a wall using the provided mounting holes. The unit dimensions are approximately 9.91 inches (251.80 mm) in length, 5.83 inches (148.1 mm) in width, and 1.5 inches (38.4 mm) in height. Mounting hole spacing is not explicitly detailed but is indicated on the diagram.

4. Web Access

You can access the unit's configuration interface through a web browser:

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable from your computer to the GE1 port on the 2466GN.
  2. Launch a web browser or telnet session and navigate to the IP address 192.168.1.1.
  3. Enter the default username and password: admin / dzsi.

For security, it is recommended to change the default password.
