Main Power Poles
The main power poles illustrate the electrical connections for the transfer switch. They show the configuration for both EMERGENCY and NORMAL power sources.
- EMERGENCY Source: Connected via terminals EL1, ELO, EL2, NLO.
- NORMAL Source: Connected via terminals LL1, LLO, LL2, NL1.
- LOAD: Connected to LL1, LL2, LLO.
- Optional Neutrals: The document mentions "OPTIONAL SWITCHING NEUTRAL" and "OPTIONAL OVERLAPPING NEUTRAL". These options affect the neutral connection configuration, with details available in the "EXPLANATION OF CATALOG NUMBER CODES". Options include "NONE", "SOLID BUS PLATE", "SWITCHING (LOCATED BETWEEN L1 & L2 POLES)", and "OVERLAPPING CONTACTS".
Note: The diagram typically shows the ATS closed on the NORMAL source.
TS Operator Circuit
This section details the control circuit for the transfer switch operator. It shows various terminal connections (e.g., TS-8, TS-6, TS-7, TS-3, TS-4, TS-5, TS-20, TS-21, TS-22, TS-17, TS-2, TS-1, TS-16, TS-18, TS-70, TS-72) and their interconnections, including control contacts and solenoid position indications.
Transfer Switch Test & Adjustment Procedure: Specifies control cut-off (contact opening) setting.
Source and Load Circuits
This section visually represents the flow of power from the sources to the load.
- NORMAL SOURCE CIRCUITS: Depicts connections for the normal power source, labeled with terminals like KEL1, KLL1, KLL2, KELO.
- EMERGENCY SOURCE CIRCUITS: Depicts connections for the emergency power source, labeled with terminals like KEL1, KLL1, KLL2, KELO.
- LOAD TERMINAL CIRCUITS: Shows the connection points for the load, labeled LL1, LL2, LLO.
