HD Seat Bolt Mount

Installation Guide

Product Components

The HD Seat Bolt Mount system consists of the following primary components:

  • A: MagConnect Adapter: Features a magnet ? and a precision dial for secure attachment.
  • B: Heavy Duty Arm: An extendable arm with joints controlled by knobs ⚙️.
  • C: Seat Bolt Mount Base: Includes various brackets (180°, 90°, 45°) and hardware for mounting to a vehicle's seat bolt.
  • D: Modules, Cases, Holders: Sold separately, these include MagConnect Modules, aXtion Rugged Cases, and Unite Holders, designed for universal compatibility.

The diagram shows how the MagConnect Adapter (A) connects to the Heavy Duty Arm (B), which then attaches to the Seat Bolt Mount Base (C). The base is designed to be secured to a vehicle's seat bolt using the provided brackets and hardware. Component D represents compatible accessories.

Mount Installation

This section details four mounting options for securing the mount to a vehicle bolt. For optimal support, the arm at the base should ideally run perpendicular to the vehicle floor. The kit includes three bolt brackets and a base to achieve this. Select the best option based on your vehicle's hardware to ensure maximum stability.

Mounting Options:

  1. 1. Flat Horizontal Surface

    Steps:

    • Remove the vehicle bolt. [remove-bolt]
    • Secure the base (i) to the vehicle using the appropriate bolt (e.g., screw (f) and nuts (g) with bracket (j) or other provided brackets). Ensure the connection is tight. [secure-bracket-tight]
    • Attach the mount to the base by placing it over the base and securing it by turning the latch. [attach-mount-base]

Diagrams illustrate the process of removing the bolt, attaching the base with brackets and hardware, and then securing the mount to the base.

  2. 2. Flat Horizontal Surface (Obstructed Bolt)

    Steps:

    • Remove the vehicle bolt. [remove-bolt]
    • Secure the base and support bracket to the 90° bracket. Ensure the connection is tight. [secure-bracket-tight]
    • Attach the mount to the base by replacing the bolt while securing the bracket. Place the mount over the base and secure by turning the latch. [attach-mount-base]

Diagrams show the use of a 90° bracket in conjunction with the base and mount.

  3. 3. Flat Vertical Surface

Diagrams illustrate the attachment to a vertical surface using a 90° bracket.

  4. 4. Angled Surface

    Steps:

    • Remove the vehicle bolt. [remove-bolt]
    • Secure the base and support bracket to the 45° bracket. Ensure the connection is tight. [secure-bracket-tight]
    • Attach the mount to the base by replacing the bolt while securing the bracket. Place the mount over the base and secure by turning the latch. [attach-mount-base]

Diagrams show the attachment to an angled surface using a 45° bracket.

  • Step 2: Place a keyboard on top of the tray. Secure the brackets tightly to the edge of the keyboard to ensure a firm fit.

Diagrams illustrate placing the tray flat, expanding brackets, and securing a keyboard.

Extend & Rotate Arms

To adjust the arm positioning:

  • Release the latch by pulling it away from the mount arm. [pull-latch]
  • Once released, pull the middle joint upward until the desired position is reached.
  • Secure the position by turning the latch to the locking position. [lock-latch]
  • To rotate the arms and tray, turn the knobs ⚙️ to adjust to your liking. Tighten the knobs to secure. [tighten-knob]
