Software Updates
Updating is essential to safeguard your privacy and the proper functioning of your Airfryer and the App. From time to time, the App updates automatically to the latest software. The Airfryer also updates its firmware automatically.
- When an update is being installed, ensure your smart device and Airfryer are connected to your home WiFi.
- Always use the latest App and firmware.
- Updates are made available for software improvements or to prevent security issues.
- A firmware update starts automatically when the Airfryer is in standby mode. This update takes up to 1 minute, and the Airfryer screen shows blinking “---”. The Airfryer cannot be used during this time.
Device Compatibility
For detailed information about the App’s compatibility, refer to the information in the App Store.
Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset of the Airfryer, press the temperature and time up buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. Your Airfryer will then no longer be connected to your home WiFi and will not be paired with your smart device.
Pan and Basket
The Philips Airfryer pan and basket can be placed in the dishwasher. You can also clean the container and basket with hot water, a little detergent, and a soft sponge.
Points to consider:
- Let the Airfryer cool down for approximately 30 minutes before cleaning.
- The Airfryer pan and basket have a non-stick coating. Do not clean these items with metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials, as they may damage the non-stick coating.
- If food residue is stuck to the bottom of the pan, fill it with hot water and detergent and let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes. This will soften the residue and make it easier to remove.
Interior and Heating Element
Disconnect the Airfryer from the power outlet and ensure it is not hot.
- Remove the basket.
- Turn the Airfryer upside down to access the heating element more easily.
- Use a soft sponge with hot water to clean the interior.
- If necessary, food residues stuck to the heating element can be removed using a soft brush with medium bristles. Do not use a steel-bristle brush, as it may damage the heating element’s coating.
- The area behind the heating element can be reached with a brush.
- Use a dry cloth to remove any remaining residue.
- Return the Airfryer to its correct position (upright).
- After cleaning the Airfryer, turn it on and let it run for a few minutes without food inside. Loose residues that could not be removed will now fall into the inner container.
