Model: DJI Mini 3 | Version: v1.0

This guide provides essential steps to get started with your DJI Mini 3 drone, including setup, charging, and app connection. It is designed for use with the DJI RC remote controller.

Step 1: Download the DJI Fly App

To begin, download the DJI Fly app on your smartphone or tablet. This app is essential for controlling the drone and accessing its features.

The app provides access to tutorials (▶️), user guides (?), and flight controls.

Step 2: Prepare the Drone

Unfold the drone arms. The front arms unfold outwards, followed by the rear arms. Ensure they click securely into place.

Step 3: Charge the Intelligent Flight Battery

Before first use, charge the Intelligent Flight Battery fully. A USB-C PD charger with a power output of 30W or higher is recommended for optimal charging speed.

Step 4: Attach Propellers

Attach the propellers to the drone motors. Each propeller is marked with a symbol (either a line or no symbol) that corresponds to a marking on the motor. Match the propeller to the correct motor and secure it by pressing down and twisting.

Step 6: Connect to DJI Fly App

Power on the drone and the remote controller. Connect your mobile device (smartphone or tablet) to the remote controller using the appropriate cable.

Launch the DJI Fly app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the drone and controller. The app will guide you through initial setup and flight modes. "Mode 2" is a common control mode where the left stick controls altitude and yaw, and the right stick controls forward/backward and left/right movement.

Explore features within the app such as "Altitude Zone (120m)" and "Fly Spots" for enhanced flight planning and safety.
