- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not unplug the appliance if your hands are wet.
- Do not unplug the appliance by pulling the cord.
- Do not attempt to repair or replace the power cord if it becomes damaged. Contact a qualified service agent.
- While the appliance is in use, some parts will become very hot. Ensure that the cord does not come in contact with any hot parts.
- Be careful not to touch any hot surfaces.
- Make sure the Tank Heater Switch is “o” (located at bottom rear side) before connecting to the power supply.
Installation
Carefully unpack the hot water dispenser and inspect for damage and missing parts.
- Place hot water dispenser on sturdy, level, heat resistant, non-flammable surface near power supply and water supply. Do not connect water line or power cord at this time.
- Form three coils of 1¼” O.D. copper tubing or high pressure flexible hose (not supplied) and connect to the cold water line. The coils allow the dispenser to be moved easily for cleaning and servicing. Flush incoming water in the line. See diagram Fig. 1
- Attach the water line to the water inlet fitting located on the rear of the dispenser. Hold the dispenser water inlet fitting with a wrench when tightening the water line.
- Turn on water supply.
- Check for water leaks at water inlet. Tighten fittings if necessary.
- Connect power supply chord into proper power supply as indicated on electrical nameplate. Make sure 'OFF/ON' toggle switch is in the OFF position before connecting to the power supply.
Note: This dispenser is designed to operate with a water pressure between 30 to 80 PSI. When water pressure exceeds 80 PSI, it is recommended that an optional water pressure regulator be installed to reduce water pressure to 50 PSI. For installation of less than 25 feet use 1/4" O.D. copper tubing. For installation of more than 25 feet use 3/8" O.D. copper tubing and use an adapter for connection as necessary.

Operation
- Plug in the equipment.
- Turn toggle switch to ON position. The water will fill in and automatically stop when the water has reached the proper level.
- When the water fills into the adequate level, the heater will begin to work.
- Allow the dispenser to reach the proper temperature. This will occur in approximately 20 minutes. The yellow light will come off when the unit is ready.
- Place an empty cup or container directly under the faucet and pull faucet handle towards you. When finished, release the handle.
Note: Due to water expansion during initial heat up on installation, excess water may flow from the drain spout. We recommend that when this unit is not in use overnight or for extended periods of time, that OFF/ON toggle switch be turned to the OFF position.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures long life. For dirt or smudges on the dispenser's exterior, a damp cloth will suffice. If necessary, a non-corrosive, non-abrasive detergent or cleaner may be used. Be sure to unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Turn the 'OFF/ON' toggle switch to OFF, unplug, and allow to cool before cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners as they may damage the finish of this dispenser.
- Only those persons trained and qualified in equipment repair should attempt to open and clean the inside of this dispenser.
Important Safety Note: Under no circumstance should the high limit thermostat be bypassed. In the event of failure the hi-limit thermostat should be replaced.
Adjusting the Thermostat
- Turn the 'OFF/ON' toggle switch to off, unplug, and allow the dispenser to cool before servicing.
- Remove the rear cover.
- Locate the thermostat, turn the thermostat adjustment screw. Do not adjust more than 1/8 of a turn at a time. [Diagram fig.2 showing thermostat controls]
- Turn screw clockwise to increase the temperature and counter clockwise to reduce the temperature. [Diagram fig.3 showing thermostat adjustment direction]
- Replace the rear cover, connect the power supply cord and turn the ‘OFF/ON' toggle switch ON.
- Allow the dispenser to reach full temperature before checking the water temperature. To assure the ideal temperature of 190°F (88°C) to 205°F (96°C), measure the temperature directly under the faucet.
- If the water temperature is still not within the proper range, repeat adjustment steps again until the proper temperature is reached.
These adjustments should be performed during installation only. Operators should refer to the operating instructions only.
