Safety & Warnings
Usage Limitations
- This product is for floor cleaning in a home environment only. It is not suitable for outdoor use (e.g., open terraces), non-ground surfaces (e.g., sofas), or commercial/industrial environments.
- Do not use the product in midair areas (e.g., penthouses, open terraces, furniture tops) without a protective fence.
- Avoid using the product at temperatures above 40°C or below 0°C, or on surfaces with liquids and sticky substances.
- Ensure cables are kept off the ground before use to prevent them from being dragged by the robot.
- Clear fragile objects and impurities (such as vases, plastic bags) from the ground to prevent damage to valuables if the robot gets stuck or impacted.
- Individuals with physical, spiritual, or perceptual disorders (including children) are not permitted to use or operate the product.
- Children must not use the product as a toy. Keep children and pets away from the robot while it is operating.
- Keep the main brush and other cleaning tools out of reach of children.
- Do not place objects (including children and pets) on a stationary or moving robot.
- Keep hair, fingers, and other body parts of humans or pets away from the suction inlet while the robot is operating.
- Do not use the product to sweep burning objects (e.g., cigarette ends).
- Do not use the product on long-haired carpets, as some dark carpets may not be cleaned effectively.
- Prevent the robot from suctioning hard or sharp objects (e.g., decorative materials, glass, iron nails).
- Do not move the machine by holding the protective cover of the laser distance sensor or the collision bumper.
- Clean or maintain the robot and charging base only when the unit is shut down or powered off.
- Do not wipe any part of the product with a wet cloth or any liquid.
- Use the product strictly according to the User Manual. Users are responsible for any damages or injuries caused by improper use.
- Do not use the mopping function on carpets or furniture tops.
- Ensure the water tank is removed when the machine is being charged.
Battery and Charging
- Do not use batteries, charging bases, or chargers provided by third parties.
- Do not dismantle, modify, or refit the battery or charging base arbitrarily.
- Keep the charging base away from heat sources (e.g., heating plates).
- Do not wipe or clean the charging base shrapnel with a wet cloth or wet hand. Do not abandon used batteries arbitrarily; they should be disposed of by a professional recycling agency.
- If the power line is damaged or broken, discontinue use immediately and replace it through official channels.
- Ensure the robot is shut down during transportation and transport it in its original packaging.
- If the machine is left unused for an extended period, fully charge it and store it in a cool, dry place. Charge the machine at least every 3 months to prevent battery damage due to excessive discharge.

Charging Base Power Connection

Installation
- Connect the power line and place surplus wire rod in the wiring duct.
- Place the charging base against a wall on flat ground and connect the power. Ensure a space of at least 0.5m on both sides and 1.5m in front of the charging base. If the power line is vertical to the ground, it may be dragged by the robot, potentially powering off the base. The charging indicator is normally on when powered on and off when charging.
- Do not move the charging base arbitrarily and keep it out of direct sunlight. Relocating the base may cause the robot to lose its map and positioning. Direct sunlight can interfere with the recharging signal.
- Installation of Side Brush: Match the left side brush (L) with the 'L' marking and the right side brush (R) with the 'R' marking on the bottom casing. Press L and R until you hear a "cracking" sound, indicating they are installed.
- Start-up and Charge: Long press the power button [ ⏻ ] to start the machine. Charge the robot on the charging base when the indicator light is normally on. If the machine cannot be started due to low battery, charge it on the base; it will start automatically. The machine operates normally when the battery level is 30% or higher.
Start Cleaning
After the machine starts, short press the power button [ ⏻ ] on the robot or use the mobile APP to start cleaning. Press any button to pause during operation.
Notes:
- The robot cannot be used to remove liquids.
- If the battery level is below 20%, the machine will not work; please charge it.
- If the battery level drops below 20% during use, the machine will automatically return to the charging base, power off, and resume cleaning once the battery reaches 80%.
- Clear all wires (including the charging base power line) from the ground before use to prevent entanglement and damage.
Mopping Module
- Installation of Duster Cloth: Paste the duster cloth flatly onto the bottom of the water tank.
- Fill the Water Tank: Uncover the water tank, fill it with water, and cover it.
- Installation of Module: Push the mopping module horizontally along the rear part of the robot until you hear a "cracking" sound.
Removal of Mopping Module
- After the robot shuts down, press the buckles on both sides by hand, move the module backward, and remove it. Empty the water tank and clean the duster cloth. Do not move or turn over the robot while it is in use.
Instructions for Mopping Module
- Do not use the mopping module if it is left unused.
- For safety, remove the mopping module when the robot is charging or left unused.
- Do not mop carpets. Set forbidden areas in the APP to prevent the robot from entering carpeted areas.
- For optimal mopping performance, install the module after the floor has been swept three times.
- To add water or clean the duster cloth during operation, pause the robot and reassemble the mopping module as per steps 8 and 9. Avoid moving or turning over the robot to prevent map positioning loss.
- The mopping function is for wiping and deep cleaning; it cannot effectively remove stubborn stains or replace manual labor.
Install the Application
Download the "Kogan Smarter Home" app from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
Register
If you do not have a Kogan Smarter Home account, register or sign in using a verification code sent via SMS.
To Register:
- Tap to enter the registration page.
- The system automatically detects your country/area. You can also select your country code manually. Enter your mobile phone number or email address and tap "Next".
- If using a mobile phone number, enter the verification code sent via SMS. Set a password as prompted and press "Confirm" to complete registration.
Add Device Through Network
- Click "+" to add equipment, then select "Small Home Appliance" → "Robot Vacuum" → "AP mode".
- Press and hold the "ON" and "Recharge" buttons on the robot for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns purple and blinks slowly.
- Enter your Wi-Fi name and password in the APP.
- Connect your mobile phone to the robot's hotspot.
- The network connection is successful when the indicator light changes from purple to blue. After configuring the device, it will appear on the home page. Tap to access its control page.
Notes:
- The device can be controlled when online.
- When offline, the device displays "Offline" and cannot be remotely powered on.
Google Home Control
Note: You need to have a Google Home account set up before linking your Kogan Smarter Home device.
- Open the Google Home app.
- From the "Home" screen, tap your device.
- A list of actions and a search function will appear. Install the SmarterHome app from here if prompted.
- Log in to your SmarterHome account using your email address or mobile number.
- Once linked, your devices will be displayed. You can assign them to rooms and authorize apps to sync.
- Click "Done" to view available commands.
- Upon successful linking, your Kogan SmarterHome devices can be controlled through Google Home via the "Home Control" screen.
Alexa
Note: You need to have an Alexa account set up before linking your Kogan SmarterHome device.
- Select "Menu" and then "Skills".
- Search for the app and enable it.
- Log into your SmarterHome account with your email address or mobile number.
- Select "Discover Devices" for the app to begin searching.
- Once linked, a list of connected Kogan SmarterHome devices will appear. You can now control your devices through Alexa using voice commands.
Operation
The Kogan SmarterHome LX10 is an intelligent planning cleaning robot equipped with high-accuracy radar and various sensors. It uses navigation algorithms for collaboration, real-time room mapping, and efficient cleaning route planning. It features automatic cleaning and charging without manual intervention, boasts an ultra-strong suction capacity of up to 1,800Pa, a high-capacity drawer-type dust box, a washable HEPA filter screen, and a split-type mopping module. It employs an efficient cleaning mode of sweeping first, then mopping. This technology aims to improve daily life and provide a positive user experience.
Button Function
- Sweep/ON & OFF: Short press to start/pause sweeping. Long press for 3 seconds to turn the robot ON/OFF. Long press for 15 seconds for forced shutdown under abnormal circumstances.
- Recharging/Local Cleaning: Short press to initiate recharging or pause. Long press to start local cleaning.
Indicator Light Status:
- Blue: Normal operation or charging.
- Red: Abnormal condition or low battery.
- Purple: Equipment is not connected to the network.
Reset Wi-Fi: Press two buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
ON/OFF: Long press the power button [ ⏻ ] for 3 seconds; the indicator light will turn on, and the machine will start. Long press the power button [ ⏻ ] for 3 seconds when the machine is in standby mode; the indicator light will turn off, and the machine will shut down. Note: The machine cannot shut down while charging.
Charging:
- Automatic Mode: The robot will return to the charging base automatically after completing its task.
- Manual Mode: Under suspended state, short press the power button [ ⏻ ] to start recharging. The indicator light will show a breathing mode when the robot is charging.
Note: If the robot fails to locate the charging base, it will return to its original position. Manually place the robot back onto the charging base.
Fixed-Point Cleaning: If specific areas require deep cleaning, you can set a point on the map via the APP. The robot will move to that point and sweep an area of 2mx2m (defaulting to twice, with the number of times adjustable).
Cleaning Mode: After starting, the robot scans and generates a map, intelligently dividing the area. It sweeps areas sequentially along walls in an orderly, efficient manner, planning a bow-shaped cleaning route. The robot returns to the charging base automatically after work.

Note: Do not move the machine arbitrarily or frequently during use. If moved, place it near its original position and try to relocate it upon restart. Successful relocation allows it to continue its planned route. Unsuccessful relocation will cause it to abandon the task, rebuild the map, and may prevent recharging.
Local Cleaning: If the robot is uncontrollable via APP, manually move it to the required area and long press the power button [ ⏻ ] for 3 seconds. The robot will sweep the floor twice within a 1.8m x 1.8m area.
User-defined Area Cleaning: Set the size and position of one or more areas to be swept using the mobile APP. The robot will sweep according to these settings.
Forbidden Area: Set one or more forbidden areas using the mobile APP. The robot will not sweep these areas but will clean others.
- Note: The robot may enter forbidden areas due to positioning errors or sensor exceptions. Permanently forbidden areas might be invalidated by significant changes in the charging base or furniture placement. Avoid moving or interfering with the robot during use. Forbidden area settings are lost if the map is rebuilt.
Fixed-time Cleaning: Set a cleaning schedule via the mobile APP. The robot will start cleaning automatically at the appointed time and return to the charging base afterward.
Wi-Fi Reset: If the mobile phone cannot connect to the machine due to router configuration changes, password updates, or other reasons, press the power button [ ⏻ ] and the home button [?] simultaneously for 3 seconds. A voice prompt "Wi-Fi has been reset" will be given, and the indicator light will turn purple and flicker slowly.
DND mode: In DND (Do Not Disturb) mode, the robot will neither sweep nor issue voice prompts. You can switch to DND mode via the APP.
Cleaning Mode: Silent, auto, and strength modes can be selected via the mobile APP (auto mode is the default).
Cleaning & Care
Main Brush (Cleaned Weekly)
- Turn the robot over and press the buckle on the main brush cover to remove the main brush.
- Remove dust from the main brush and its interior using the provided small brush.
- Reassemble the main brush and press the main brush cover tightly to secure the buckle.
Universal Wheel (Cleaned Monthly)
- Turn the robot over and pull the universal wheel upwards.
- Remove dirt from the wheel and its spindle.
- Reassemble the universal wheel and press it firmly.
Side Brush (Cleaned Monthly)
- Turn the robot over and pull out the side brush upwards.
- Remove hair and dirt, then reassemble the side brush.
- Ensure the left side brush (L) corresponds to the 'L' marking and the right side brush (R) to the 'R' marking on the bottom casing. Press L and R to reinstall them.
Note: Replace the side brush every 3-6 months to ensure optimal cleaning performance.
Dust Box and Filter Screen (Cleaned Weekly)
- Remove the duster cloth from the mopping module and empty the water tank.
- Clean the duster cloth and dry the water tank and duster cloth in the air for future use.
Filter Screen Cleaning (Cleaned Monthly)
- After prolonged use, remove the filter gauze, filter sponge, and HEPA filter screen.
- Wash the filter gauze, filter sponge, HEPA filter screen, and dust box using tap water.
- Shake off excess water and dry the filter screen and dust box in the air.
- Reinstall the dust box components (filter gauze, filter sponge, HEPA filter screen) once they are completely dry.
Notes:
- Wash the filter screen with clean water only; do not use detergents.
- Do not clean the filter screen using a brush or fingers.
- Dry the filter screen in the air for at least 24 hours.
- Replace the filter screen every 6-12 months.
Mopping Module (Cleaned Each Time)
- Remove the duster cloth from the mopping module and empty the water tank.
- Clean the duster cloth and dry the water tank and duster cloth in the air for future use.
Sensor Cleaning (Monthly)
Wipe the robot's sensors using a soft, dry cloth. This includes:
- Wall sensor (located on the right of the robot).
- Three anti-dropping sensors (at the bottom of the robot).
- Infrared avoidance sensor (on the front of the robot).
- Radar avoidance sensor (on top of the robot).
- Electric shock protector and charging base shrapnel (at the bottom of the robot; disconnect power before cleaning).
- Signal transmission area of the charging base.
Battery
- The robot is equipped with high-performance lithium-ion batteries. To maintain battery performance, keep the robot charged for daily use.
- If the machine is left unused for a long period, shut it down and store it properly. Charge it at least every 3 months to prevent battery damage due to excessive discharge.
Firmware Upgrade
Upgrade firmware using the mobile APP. If new firmware is detected, follow the on-screen prompts. The battery level should be at least 50% during firmware upgrade, so place the robot on the charging base.
System Reset
Remove the dust box, open the rubber plug, and press the reset key (refer to page 3). The current map will be lost, but timing, Wi-Fi, and personalized settings will be reserved after the reset.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |

The machine cannot be started | In case of low battery, place the machine on the charging base and align it correctly. The machine will start automatically. If completely powered off, it may start after being charged for a while. If the environment temperature is lower than 0°C or higher than 50°C, use it between 0-40°C. |
The machine cannot be charged | Move the machine away and check if the charging base indicator light is on. Ensure both ends of the power adapter are connected well. In case of poor contact, clean the charging base shrapnel and the robot's charging contact, or push the side brush aside. |

Prompt Tones & Solutions:
- Error 1: "Oh dear! I cannot find the dust collector." - Cleaning is triggered when the dust box is taken out.
- Error 2: "Please check if the radar on top has been covered or blocked." - The radar top is covered or placed in an open area (no obstacle within 6x6m² required).
- Error 3: "Please place me in a new location and try again." - Pick the machine up or hang it in the air.
- Error 4: "Please scrub the cliff sensor and restart me from a new location." - The cliff sensor is covered or placed at height.
- Error 5: "Please scrub the front sensor and restart me from a new location." - The infrared avoidance sensor is dirty or covered.
- Error 6: "Please scrub the right-hand sensor and restart me from a new location." - The wall sensor is dirty or covered.
- Error 7: "Please scrub the radar housing on top and restart me from a new location." - The radar avoidance sensor is dirty or covered.
- Error 8: "Please check if the bumper has been blocked in some way." - The edge or collision sensor is stuck.
- Error 9: "Master, please clean the dust container and filter." - The dust box is full or the filter screen needs replacement.
- Error 10: "Dust container has been removed, please clean the container and filter." - Triggered after Error 9 if the user removes the dust chamber.
- Error 11: "I'm stuck, please help me!" - The machine is stuck.
