These instructions are applicable to the following Trucks:
· 2009 - 2023 Ram 1500 Applicable Part Numbers: · TF-RAM1500-0923-RRARMS
1. Pre-Assembly
You do not need to jack the truck up, or remove the wheels, to install Thuren Control Arms. Park on level ground and use wheel chocks on the front and back side of the wheel on the side you are working on. · To help remove the OEM arms, and to help get the new arms in, you can roll the tire back and forth
a bit to make the process easier. This helps install the hardware too.
warning
When following these instructions, it is essential to install the control arms on one side at a time. Never remove control arms from both sides of the chassis while there is weight on it.
Doing so could cause the axle to roll, putting you in danger.
· Retain OEM hardware for installation of Control Arm mounts.
2. Install Control Arms
· The Zerk grease fittings on the upper arms should be facing downward and the grease fittings on the lower arms should be facing upward.
· Install the all hardware with the bolt head on the outside, and nut inboard of the joint.
3. Final Spec
· Torque 16mm Bolts to 215 ft/lbs ­ All Control Arm bolts. · Fasten E-Brake cable clamp to box mount on center of driver side lower arm. · Grease joints after install.
