Focus Adjustment

When the projector is on, you can adjust the sharpness by turning the focus wheel on the back of the projector. This is necessary when the image appears blurry and the distance from the projector to the wall/screen changes.

Home Screen Applications

From the home screen, you can select various applications and functions by clicking on the displayed icons:

  • Settings (⚙️): Access system settings, picture, sound, and other configurations.
  • Bluetooth (?): Connect to Bluetooth audio devices.
  • HDMI (?): Connect devices via HDMI for mirroring.
  • Media (?): Play media files (photos, videos, music) from a USB drive.

The home screen also displays options for screen mirroring and media playback, such as 'Wired Screen', 'Movie', 'Music', 'Photo', and 'Ebook'.

Connectivity Options

1. HDMI Connection

Select 'HDMI' on the home screen. HDMI allows you to mirror the screen from your device using the provided HDMI-to-HDMI or HDMI-to-USB-C cable. PCs can be connected using either end of the cable inserted into the PC and the other HDMI end into the projector. After connecting via HDMI, press the 'HDMI' button on the home screen to activate screen mirroring.

Important Note on USB-C Phone Connection via HDMI: Only USB-C phones supporting DP ALT MODE can mirror their screen via the projector's HDMI input. When connecting a supported USB-C phone with the provided HDMI-to-USB-C cable, press the 'HDMI' button on the home screen to activate mirroring. Phones with a USB-C input that do not support DP ALT MODE cannot mirror their screen. Some applications and streaming services may not allow screen sharing via HDMI, even if DP ALT MODE is supported.

Continuous Movie Playback on Phone

To set your phone to 'Never' lock, allowing continuous movie playback:

  • For iPhones (iOS): Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock, then set it to 'Never'.
  • For Android Phones: Go to Settings > Display (sometimes found under Lock Screen or Advanced) > Screen Timeout or Sleep, and set it to the maximum duration (e.g., 10 or 30 minutes, or 'Never' if available). (Remember to re-enable screen lock later to save battery.)

2. Wired Screen (Screen Mirroring)

Select 'Wired Screen' on the home screen to mirror your phone.

  • Apple Phone Mirroring: Use a USB-A data cable to connect your Apple phone and the projector. Select 'Wired Screen' and press the OK button to initiate Apple phone mirroring.
  • Android Phone Mirroring: Select 'Wired Screen' and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to scan a QR code (located in the bottom left corner) to download the 'HCCast' software. Use a USB-A data cable to connect your Android phone to the projector. Once connected, the phone's screen will appear on the projector. Press 'OK' to proceed and then 'Start now' to begin mirroring your Android phone.

When transferring data via USB-A, ensure you are using a USB cable capable of data transfer.

IMPORTANT: Some applications do not allow streaming via the USB-A input with the wired screen function. For many such applications, use the provided HDMI-to-HDMI cable to connect to a PC, or the HDMI-to-USB-C cable to connect to your phone's USB-C input (if it supports DP Alt Mode). The USB-A wired screen function is primarily for easy access to your photo roll. For full functionality and access to more applications and streaming services, use the HDMI interface and the provided HDMI cables.

3. Settings

On the SETTINGS screen, you can configure projection, picture, Bluetooth, system settings, sound, time, and more.

  • General Settings: Adjust language, factory reset, software upgrade, auto-sleep, OSD timer, aspect ratio, and view version information (PR-1500).
  • Sound Settings: Adjust sound mode, balance, and EQ settings.
  • Picture Settings: Adjust picture mode and color temperature.

④ Keystone Settings

Adjust Flip, Vertical Keystone, Trapezoidal reset, Window Zoom, and Zoom Screen Reset.

4. Bluetooth

Select 'Bluetooth' from the home screen. Press the OK button to turn Bluetooth on/off. Press OK again to search for Bluetooth devices. Select the desired connection from the list of available devices. Once connected, you can choose to disconnect or delete the Bluetooth device.

5. Media

From the home screen, select 'Media' to play media files from your USB drive. When a USB drive is connected via the USB-A input, you can view photos and video files. The Media function is for playing files from USB and cannot be used for screen mirroring; use HDMI or the Wired Screen function for mirroring.
