Function Overview
This section provides a general overview of the tablet's functions.
Getting Started
Before powering up the tablet, ensure that it is fully charged.
Device Components:

Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds to turn on your tablet. Select your language and set up your tablet following the start guide.
To turn off: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds, then release. 'Power Off' and 'Restart' will appear on the screen. Tap 'Power Off' to turn off the tablet.
For a forced shutdown when the tablet is frozen, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Battery
The tablet has a rechargeable Li-ion battery. It is suggested to drain the battery completely once a month if the tablet is used only occasionally. Do not dispose of the tablet in a fire.
Sleep Mode
Press the power button once to switch the tablet to Sleep Mode when it is ON. Press again to wake it up.
Tip: Go to Settings > Display > Sleep to set the time for Sleep Mode.

Quick Settings
Swipe down from the top of the screen to access Quick Settings. You can control Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb mode, screen orientation, Battery Saver, and Airplane Mode.
Wallpapers, Widgets and Home Settings
Tap and hold an empty section of a Home screen to access WALLPAPERS, WIDGETS, and HOME SETTINGS.
- Tap WALLPAPERS to change the current wallpaper.
- Tap WIDGETS, touch and hold any widget (e.g., Clock), then slide to add it to a Home screen. Remove it by sliding to X.
- Tap HOME SETTINGS to enable/disable adding icons to the Home screen for new apps installed from the Play Store.
Setting Basics
Access detailed settings by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping the settings icon, or by tapping the Setting icon on the Home screen.
Network & Internet
- Connect to any working Wi-Fi.
- Enable/disable Airplane Mode.
- Monitor data usage.
Connected devices
- Turn on/off Bluetooth.
- Pair with Bluetooth devices and view paired devices.
- Cast device and check the cast device.
- Add and check printers.
Apps & notifications
- Check recently opened apps and all apps on the tablet.
- Set app permissions.
- Uninstall third-party apps.
- Adjust app notification settings.
- Clear app cache.
Battery
- Display remaining battery percentage.
- Enable/disable Battery Saver.
- Adjust the time of entering Sleep Mode.
Display
- Adjust screen brightness.
- Adjust font size and display size.
- Set a Screensaver.
- Change the wallpaper.
- Adjust the time of entering Sleep Mode.
Sound
- Set volume levels for media, alarms, and notifications.
- Set Do Not Disturb preferences.
- Set notification and alarm sounds.
- Turn on/off sound for screen lock, charging, and touch.
Screenshot
- Set the delay time for screenshots.
- Set the location folder for screenshots.
- Enable/disable the screenshot button in the status bar.
Tip: Press the volume down button and the power button together to capture a screenshot. Alternatively, enable the screenshot button in the status bar and tap the icon on the bottom menu.
Storage
View and manage your storage space.
Security & location
- Set screen lock (pattern, password, PIN, swipe).
- Enable/disable notifications when the screen is locked.
- Enable/disable location services for specific apps.
- Set to show/hide passwords when inputting.
Users & accounts
Add and manage user accounts.
Accessibility
Manage settings for users with vision or hearing impairments, including screen readers and subtitles.
Set preferences for Google-related services.
System
- Set Language: Go to Settings > Languages & input > Languages > Add language. Hold and slide to change the language.
- Restore factory settings: Tap Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
- Set date and time.
- Enable/disable backup.
- View detailed tablet information.
Network Connection
Go to Wi-Fi settings in the Settings interface or enter Quick Settings.
Wi-Fi Connection
- Tap Network & Internet and turn on Wi-Fi. All available Wi-Fi connections will be listed.
- Select your Wi-Fi and input the correct password.
Bluetooth Pairing
Ensure Bluetooth is turned on for both your tablet and your Bluetooth device.
- Tap Connected devices and turn on Bluetooth.
- Tap Bluetooth > +Pair new device to enter the scanning interface. Available devices will be displayed.
- Tap the desired device to get a pairing code and click PAIR on both devices. Automatic connection may apply to some devices.
App Management
App Download and Installation
- Tap and open the Play Store on the Home screen.
- Log into your Google account, search, and download the desired app.
App Management
- Move the App: Tap and hold the app, then slide it to a desired screen.
- Remove the App from Home Screen: Tap and hold the app, then slide to X.
- Uninstall the App: Tap and hold the app, then slide to the trash bin.
- Clear the Cache of the App: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Select an App > Storage > CLEAR CACHE.
Multimedia
Connecting to the Computer
- Connect your tablet to the computer using a USB cable and go to Quick Settings.
- Tap Android™ System > USB charging this device > More options > Use USB to.
- Select Transfer files.
- On your computer, find your tablet (e.g., TAB30) to transfer files between the tablet and computer.
Tip: Select 'Charging this device' to charge your tablet or 'Transfer photos (PTP)' to transfer photos.

Connecting to an External Device
- Install a micro SD card into the micro SD card slot and go to Quick Settings.
- Tap 'New micro SD card detected' or the 'Set Up' prompt.
- Set the micro SD card as portable storage by selecting 'Use as portable storage'. Access the micro SD Card storage to move files between the card and tablet.
Troubleshooting
Q1. The tablet doesn't power on.
- Reboot the tablet after charging for 30 minutes.
- Press the power button to check if the tablet is in Sleep Mode.
- Press and hold the power button for 5s to turn on the tablet, then reboot it.
- Press the Reset button with a pin to reboot the tablet.
Q2. The tablet doesn't charge.
- Ensure the USB cable is properly plugged into the charging port.
- Try another compatible USB cable and adapter.
Q3. Error message occurs during operation.
- Uninstall the app with the error message, then download and install it again.
- Press the Reset button with a pin to reboot the tablet.
Q4. The tablet cannot be detected by the computer.
- Ensure the tablet is powered on.
- Try another USB cable.
- Try another USB port on the computer.
- When connecting to the computer, select 'Transfer files' or 'Transfer photos (PTP)' instead of 'Charge this device'.
Q5. The tablet cannot connect to Wi-Fi.
- Ensure the tablet's Wi-Fi is turned ON.
- Ensure the correct password was entered when connecting to Wi-Fi.
- Restart the router.
- Check the router settings for any filter settings or device connection limitations.
- Forget the current Wi-Fi connection, reset the router, and connect to Wi-Fi again.
Q6. The storage space of the tablet is not enough.
- Delete unused apps.
- Clear app cache regularly.
- Install a microSD card to expand storage.

- Within 1 month from the date of purchase, if there is a functional problem, the same item subject to goods and packing maintenance will be offered.

This Communicator meets the government's requirements for exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies.
The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age or health. FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement: The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device types: Communicator has also been tested against this SAR limit. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the phone kept 10mm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain a 10mm separation distance between the user's body and the back of the phone. The use of belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided.
