This guide provides instructions for installing the GE Cync Indoor Dynamic Effects Light Strip and Extension.

Light Strip Contents
The GE Cync Indoor Dynamic Effects Light Strip package typically includes:
- 1 x 16ft Full Color Light Strip
- 1 x Power supply with plug
- 1 x Reconnector wire
- 6 x Mounting clips
- 1 x Cleaning wipe
Light Strip Extension Contents
The GE Cync Light Strip Extension package typically includes:
- 1 x 8ft Full Color Light Strip
- 1 x Extension cable (power supply sold separately)
- 1 x Snap connector
- 3 x Mounting clips
Note: Mounting clip designs may vary.
Easy Setup
Set up your Light Strips with three easy steps:
- Step 1: Plug in and power on your Light Strip by pressing the On/Off button on the power supply.
- Step 2: Download the Cync App, powered by Savant, on your smartphone.
- Step 3: Add your smart lights to the Cync App, then connect to Hey Google or Amazon Alexa voice assistants (sold separately) within the Cync App.
Set Up in the CYNC App
Follow these steps within the Cync App:
- Step 1: Connect to the Cync App.
- Step 2: Trim to desired length (if applicable).
- Step 3: Add re-connector wire to extend the strip after it is cut.

Measure & Trim to Size
Follow these steps if you need to adjust the length of your light strip:
- Step 1: Measure where you're planning to install your lights. If your space requires Light Strip Extensions, make sure to attach them before trimming your strips.
- Step 2: With your Light Strip unplugged, safely cut where the trim points are indicated. ⚠️ Make sure the strip is not plugged in when cutting. Cutting anywhere else will permanently damage the strip.
- Step 3: Add re-connector wire to extend the strip after it is cut.
Prep the Surface & Install Your Strip
Prepare your installation area:
- Step 1: Use the cleaning wipe to remove dust from the surface. Ensure the surface is dry and free of dirt, dust, and oils. For best results, adhere the strip in temperatures above 50°F/10°C.
- Step 2: Lay out mounting clips where desired for securing the strip.
Installing Without Adhesive
Use mounting clips for installation:
- Step 1: Lay out mounting clips where desired.
Extend & Power On the Light Strip
Connect and power up your light strip:
- Step 1: Connect the extension wire and power supply, then power on the light strip.
