Getting Started

This guide provides instructions for setting up your HP LaserJet printer.

Step 1: Unpack and Power On

Instructions:

1. Remove all tape and pull the paper sheet from the printer.
2. Plug in and turn on the printer.

Step 2: Load Paper

Instructions:

1. Slide out the guides.
2. Load Letter or A4 paper and adjust the guides.
3. Slide the tray cover into place.

Step 3: Install Software

Instructions:

1. Visit 123.hp.com or your app store on a computer or mobile device.
2. Install the required HP Smart software.

Step 4: Connect to Network and Finish Setup

Instructions:

1. Follow instructions in HP Smart to connect the printer to a network and finish setup.

Important Note: If connecting the printer to Wi-Fi, your computer or mobile device must be near the printer during setup. See the Reference Guide for Wi-Fi troubleshooting and tips.
