Click to call in the Webex app
It's easy to make and receive calls in Webex! Save time and keep work flowing by making calls right from your desktop or phone.
Soft phone
You can call anyone that you're connected to in the Webex app. Use the Calling tab to view call logs and hover over a contact to call them. Or click on the contact to see their card for other ways to reach them.
Call from anywhere in the app
You can easily make a call from the audio and video icons wherever you're working in the Webex app. Go to the Calling tab or start a call from a:

- profile ?
- contact card ?
Webex Interface Overview
The Webex application interface allows users to manage contacts and initiate calls. The main view typically includes:
- Top Bar: Displays the current status (e.g., "Working from home" ?), navigation controls (◀️ ▶️), a search bar (? "Search, meet, and call"), an add button (+), and a "Connect to a device" option (?).
- Left Pane: Features tabs for "All", "Direct", and "Spaces" (☰). Below these, a "Top contacts" list shows individuals like Emily Nakagawa and Isabelle Brennan, with their status and icons for audio (?) and video (?) calls. Other sections include "My team", "Engineering", and "Other" groups. Quick access buttons for "Call Settings" (⚙️) and "Call pickup" (?) are also present.
- Contact Card (Right Pane): When a contact is selected, their detailed information appears, including name, status, job title, department, phone numbers (Work, Mobile), email address, and personal meeting room details. For example, Isabelle Brennan is listed as an "Equipment design manager" with contact details.
- Call Options Pop-up: Hovering over a contact or call icon reveals a pop-up showing contact details and options like "Call on Webex" (video ? or audio ?). It also indicates the audio source and provides access to "Audio Preferences" (❓).
- Messaging Area: A section displays conversational text, indicating ongoing communication or call context.
