Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the AREBOS Induction Hob. Please read these operating instructions carefully before first use. Hand over these instructions if the product is passed to third parties. Keep for future reference.
Note: Drawings in this manual may not match physical objects. Refer to the physical objects.
1. Safety Instructions
1.1 Introduction
This manual familiarizes you with the installation, use, and maintenance of the appliance. Read before installation for safe and correct use. Check for transport damage and report immediately.
1.2 Explanation of Symbols
- CE: [CE certification] - Complies with European legal standards for trade within the European Community.
- GS: [SGS tested safety certification] - Tested and certified by SGS Helsinki, signifying tested safety according to the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG).

1.3 General Safety Instructions
Your safety is paramount. Read this manual before installing and using the induction hob. Contact your dealer if unsure. ⚠️ CAUTION: Failure to follow safety instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Keep instructions for future reference. Do not use if instructions have not been read.
- Read and understand the manual thoroughly before installation.

- Disconnect from power supply before installation.
- Installation and maintenance by a specialized technician, following manufacturer instructions and local regulations. Do not repair or replace parts unless specified.
- The appliance must be earthed.
- Power cable must be long enough for connection to the power supply.
- An omnipolar switch with a minimum contact gap of 3mm is required for installation compliance.
- Do not use multi-sockets or extension cords.
- Do not pull the power cable.
- Electrical parts must not be accessible after installation.
- Appliance is designed for domestic cooking only. No other use is permitted. Manufacturer declines liability for inappropriate use.
- ⚠️ Warning! The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use. Avoid touching heating elements. Children under 8 years old must be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- Accessible parts can become very hot. Keep children away and supervise them.
- Do not touch heating elements during or after use. Do not allow contact with clothes or flammable materials until cooled.
- Do not place flammable materials on or near the appliance.
- Overheated oils and fats can catch fire easily. Be attentive when cooking with rich fats/oils.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced capabilities if supervised or instructed on safe use. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by children require supervision.
- An air switch or circuit breaker (not supplied) should be installed.
- If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid electric shock.
- Not intended for operation by external timers or remote controls.
- ⚠️ Warning! Unattended cooking with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in fire. Never extinguish fire with water; switch off the appliance and cover the flame with a lid or fire blanket.
- ⚠️ Warning! Danger of fire: Do not store items on cooking surfaces.
- Do not use steam cleaners.
- Metallic objects (knives, forks, spoons, lids) should not be placed on the hob surface as they can get hot.
- After use, switch off the hob element by its control and do not rely solely on the pan detector.
- ⚠️ Caution! Surface remains hot after use! Do not touch the top plate right after removing pots/pans.
2. Installing the Device
After unpacking, check for transport damage. Contact customer service for problems.
For built-in dimensions and installation instructions, refer to the figures below:
Top-down view: Requires a cutout of minimum 760mm width and minimum 50mm depth. Minimum 20mm clearance from the edge.
Side view: Minimum 40mm clearance from the top of the worktop to the underside of the hob. Minimum 50mm clearance from the underside of the hob to a separator panel. Minimum 20mm clearance on the worktop for air flow out.
Hob cutout dimensions: 488mm width x 270mm depth. Minimum 50mm clearance from the edge.
Clearances: Minimum 40mm above the worktop, minimum 50mm below the hob to a separator panel, minimum 20mm for air flow out.
- The distance between the underside of the appliance and the separator panel must respect the dimensions given (min. 50 mm).
- Ensure correct operation by not obstructing the minimum required clearance (min. 20 mm) on the worktop for air flow out.
- If an undertop oven is installed, ensure it has a cooling system.
- Do not install the hob above a dishwasher or washing-machine to prevent damage from steam or moisture.
3. Commissioning the Device
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before installation.
- Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel aware of current safety and installation regulations.
- The manufacturer declines liability for injury or damage resulting from failure to observe regulations.
- The power cable must be long enough to allow the hob to be removed from the worktop.
- Ensure the voltage specified on the rating label matches the power supply.
- Attention! To avoid permanently damaging the glass-ceramic top, do not use:
- Pots with bottoms that are not perfectly flat.
- Metal pots with enameled bottoms.

5. Before Use
- Important: Cooking zones will not switch on if pots are not the right size. Only use pots bearing the "INDUCTION" symbol or enameled pots.
- Place the pot on the required cooking zone before switching the hob on.
Existing Pots and Pans
- Use a magnet to check if the cookware bottom is suitable for induction.
- Ensure cookware has a flat underside to prevent scratching the hob.
- The diameter of the cookware bottom should be at least 10 cm. (Cookware with non-magnetically detectable bases is not suitable).

6. Control Panel Layout
The control panel features displays for each cooking zone, power level indicators, and function buttons.
6.1 Switching the Hob On/Off
- To switch on, press the [Power button] ➀. Cooking zone displays will light up. To switch off, press the same button until displays turn off. All zones deactivate.
- If the hob was in use, the residual heat indicator "H" remains lit until zones cool down.
- If no heating zone is selected within 120 seconds of switching on, the hob switches off automatically.
6.2 Switching on and Adjusting Cooking Zones
- Once the hob is on and a pan is positioned, select the zone using its button. The display shows level 0.
- Each zone has power levels adjustable with the [Increase/Decrease buttons] (+/-), from "1" (min. level) to "15/P" (max. level).
6.3 Specific Function
- The hob has intermediate levels. Select a zone, press its number twice (e.g., 5). An intermediate stage is shown with a dot on the display. Pressing the number again returns to the previous level. The dot symbolizes ½ steps.
6.4 Deactivation of Cooking Zones
- Select the cooking zone to switch off and press its corresponding button.
- Press the button " " to set the level to "0". The zone switches off, and the residual heat indicator "H" lights up.
6.5 Child Lock
- This function locks controls to prevent accidental switching on. To activate, switch on the hob and hold the [Child lock button] ? for three seconds. The timer shows "Lo". The control panel is locked.
- To deactivate, repeat the activation procedure. "Lo" disappears, and the hob is active.
6.6 Timer
- The timer can set cooking time for up to 99 minutes for all zones.
- Select the cooking zone, press the [Timer button] ⏱️, then set the desired time using the [Increase/Decrease buttons] (+/-).
- After a few seconds, the timer counts down. When time elapses, an acoustic signal sounds, and the hob switches off automatically.
- To deactivate the timer, set the display to "00" or hold the [Timer button] ⏱️ for at least 4 seconds.
- Attention! Do not place hot pots or pans on the keypad, as this can cause damage.
6.7 Auto Switch Off
The hob automatically switches off if no cooking time is set, it's forgotten, or no operation occurs. The relationship between power level and default switch-off time is as follows:

Residual Heat Indicator
- Each cooking zone has a residual heat indicator ("H") to alert when zones are still hot.
- If the display shows "H", the zone is still hot and can be used for keeping dishes warm or melting butter. The display goes off when the zone cools down.
Incorrect or Missing Pot Indicator – Error Code "E0"
- If an unsuitable, incorrectly positioned, or incorrectly sized pot is used, "E0" appears. If no pot is detected within 180 seconds, the hob switches off.
6.8 Energy Saving
- For optimum results:
- Use pots/pans with bottom width matching the cooking zone.
- Use only flat-bottomed pots and pans.
- Keep pot lids on during cooking when possible.
- Use a pressure cooker to save energy and time.
- Place the pot in the middle of the cooking zone.
7. Temperature Level Table

Note: Data is for guidance only. Heat setting and power consumption are not linear. Power of cooking zones may vary slightly based on cookware material and dimensions.
8. Cleaning
- Do not use steam cleaners.
- Before cleaning, ensure cooking zones are switched off and the residual heat indicator ("H") is not displayed.
- Important: Do not use abrasive sponges or scouring pads, as they can damage the glass.
- After each use, clean the hob (when cool) to remove deposits and stains from food residuals.
- Sugar or foods with high sugar content can damage the hob and must be removed immediately.
- Salt, sugar, and sand can scratch the glass surface.
- Use a soft cloth, absorbent kitchen paper, or a specific hob cleaner.
9. Troubleshooting
- Check that the electricity supply is not shut off.
- Dry the hob thoroughly after cleaning.
- If alphanumeric codes appear on the display when the hob is on, consult the table below.
- If the hob cannot be switched off, disconnect it from the power supply.

C/CC Error: Automatic safety shut-off for liquid overflow. This indicates the touch panel was watered with liquid.
10. Noises Made by the Hob
- Induction hobs can make whistling or crackling sounds during normal operation due to pot/pan bottom characteristics (e.g., layered or uneven bottoms). These noises vary with cookware and food and are not defects.
- The hob has an internal cooling system. The cooling fan noise may be audible during operation and for several minutes after switching off. This is normal and essential for proper functioning.
11. Environmentally Friendly Disposal
11.1 Disposal and Packaging
- Packaging materials are recyclable and reduce environmental impact. Dispose of packaging in a bin for recyclable materials.
11.2 Disposal of Old Equipment
- Old appliances must be disposed of according to local waste disposal regulations. Check with your local administration for the nearest recycling centre.

12. Disassembly
Disassembly requires the unit to be accessible and disconnected from the power supply.
- Loosen the fastening clips.
- Remove the silicone joints.
- Remove the appliance upwards from the worktop.
- Remove any other accessories.
- Dispose of the old appliance and contaminated accessories as described under "Environmentally friendly disposal".
