Air Box Installation Instructions
1.Unwrap the air box from the bubble wrap. Be careful and avoid scratching the acrylic lid. There is a clear film on the lid. We recommend leaving this in place until the last steps.
2. Remove the lid from the air box and install the filter. Ensure the hose clamp is tight. Replace the lid and fasten the bolts.
3.Install the ball valve to the air box. Ensure this is done up very tightly to avoid water entering the box. We recommend keeping the drain open when driving day-to-day, and only closing when water crossing to completely seal the box. Keeping the drain open will allow any water entering through the box to drain freely.
4.Undo the factory mounting bolts and remove the stock air box. You will also need to remove the factory turbo inlet line and breather hose connected to it. Cover the turbo inlet line with a clean rag and make sure no debris can enter this line.
5.Hold onto the existing bolts as these are reused later on - keep them in a safe place. 6. Place the KingFab air box into position, utilising the same factory mounting points. Take note of the inlet
positioning against the inner guard clearance hole (where the snorkel would enter). In order to have the inlet sitting nicely, you may need to trim this factory hole. Generally if needed, it will be on the top of the hole. This will allow more clearance. Please note: If you are installing a KingFab snorkel, refer to the snorkel instructions for how much to trim away from this opening. You will need greater clearance for the silicone hose to slip on. 7. With the air box removed for this step, use a pair of tin snips, or an air saw to complete this cut if required. Make sure you rust prevent the edge, and we recommend applying pinch weld to the cut section. 8. Re position the air box into place and fasten with the factory mounting bolts. We recommend only loosely fitting these bolts to allow some movement for the remainder of the installation. If you tighten one of the bolts completely you may struggle to align the other holes. 9.If you have not purchased the plumbing kit for your vehicle, you can complete the plumbing as you require and fasten the box into position fully. If you have purchased a plumbing kit for your turbo set up, complete the steps required on the following pages. Take note of the engine label listed to make sure you are following the right set of instructions for your model. 10. Plumb to your KingFab snorkel as instructed if applicable (follow your snorkel instructions for this step). 11. Remove the acrylic film from the lid.

Air Box Outlet to Turbo Inlet Plumbing Line Instructions:
1. Locate the plumbing Materials in your KingFab box. The following has been packed for you:
3" - 4" 90 Degree Silicone Bend Pre Trimmed and Labelled 2.75" - 3" 90 Degree Silicone Bend, Pre Trimmed and Labelled Fabricated 3" Stainless Joiner Part X1 4" Size Hose Clamp X3 3" Size Hose Clamps (You may have other parts included if you have ordered a KingFab Snorkel as well).
2. Locate the 4" side of the 3-4" 90 degree bend. Place this onto the air box outlet. Install the 4" hose clamp and lightly fasten this into place. You want some movement for the installation of the next items.
3. Locate the Fabricated 3" Stainless Joiner Part. Slot this into the 3" side of the silicone previously installed. Install one of the 3" hose clamps to the silicone hose and tighten slightly to keep it in place. Place the remaining 2 3" hose clamps onto the stainless part for easy installation in the next step. Ensure the bend is positioned currently in line with the turbo, and for the breather line to be re-plumbed into position).
4. Locate the 3" - 2.75" 90 Degree Silicone Bend. Install this to the turbo inlet. Slide one of the 3" hose clamps down and tighten the silicone to the turbo inlet. Tighten the final hose clamp where the stainless part meets the 3" silicone hose.
5. When you are happy with how this is all sitting you can go through and complete a final tightening to ensure no dust, debris and water can enter through the hoses.
6. Place the breather hose onto the bung welded to the stainless part pre installed. Ensure this is fastened sufficiently.
7. Go through and fasten all mounting bolts, air box lid bolts and hose clamps one last time.
8. Complete a final check of all parts to ensure you have completed all of the above steps.
