Product Description
The Friends of Hue switch is a wireless transmitter that communicates with the Philips Hue bridge. It utilizes a CR2430 battery to power a built-in transmitter. This transmitter sends wireless radio signals used to remotely control the Philips Hue system.
After being added to the Hue bridge, the switch can be configured via the Hue App. It allows for control of designated light devices in up to two rooms using its four buttons. The functions of each of the four buttons can be configured separately through the Hue App. Configurable functions include ON/OFF, dim up/dim down, and control of system preset scenes.

Operations
1. Add the Switch to Hue Bridge
- Configure your Hue Bridge correctly and add light devices to the Hue Bridge through the Hue App as instructed.
- On the "Settings" page, tap "Accessory setup", then tap "Add accessory", and finally tap "Friends of Hue switch".
- Tap a brand to select it; any brand will work. Then, operate the switch as instructed to enable it to be added to the Hue Bridge.
Note: Different Hue Bridges may provide different instructions for button operation during the adding process. The instructions above are examples; please follow the specific guidance from your Hue Bridge, as the required buttons may differ.
2. Select Designated Room/Rooms to Control
Tap to select a room to be controlled by the left side of the switch, and then select a room for the right side.
3. Configure the Switch through Hue App
Once added successfully, you can use the system-suggested settings or configure the switch according to your preferences. Tap "Done" to accept the suggested settings, or tap "change settings" to configure manually. Each of the 4 buttons can be configured individually. Tap the button area to select the button you wish to configure.
4. Control the Light Devices in the Selected Room/Rooms with the Switch
After successful configuration, tap "save" in the upper right corner to save your settings. You can then use the switch to control the light devices in your selected room(s).
Installation
The switch can be integrated into various switch frames from different manufacturers. The integration typically involves a universal rotary switch element.
