The KW206 OBD computer is a smart and powerful auto meter, specifically designed for vehicles. It displays various data on a single screen, including speedometer, engine temperature, oil thermometer, boost gauge, and fuel consumption meter. The device can also monitor battery voltage, engine charging voltages, over-speed alarms, and engine temperature warnings. It is capable of reading real-time data streams, scanning, and clearing trouble codes.

5. Product Operating Setting

5.1 Display Interface Switch

Use the UP/DOWN buttons to switch between different display modes. A short press (within 1 second) enters the full-screen single data display mode. A long press (over 3 seconds) allows entry into the data stream data option selection mode.

5.2 Settings Menu

Long press the ESC key to access the settings menu. Here, users can configure various options, including: Language, System Parameters, OBD Parameters, Alarm Settings, OBD Diagnosis, 0-100km Time measurement, and About information.

6. Product Update

This feature allows you to update the product's software using a Windows computer. The following are required:

1. The KONNWEI KW206 OBD auto meter.
2. A Windows PC (running Windows XP, 7, 8, or 10) with an active internet connection.
3. A Mini-USB cable.

Steps for Updating:

1. Download and install the uplink.exe application from the official KONNWEI website (www.konnwei.com) onto your Windows computer.
2. Run uplink.exe. Before proceeding to check for updates, ensure that "Device connected to COM X" is displayed in the bottom-left corner of the application window. If not, verify that the necessary drivers are installed correctly.
3. Connect the scanner to the PC using the USB cable while simultaneously pressing any button on the scanner. The device's screen should indicate "Update Mode". Release the button once this mode is active.
4. Open the uplink software and click the "Check Update" button. The software will automatically manage the update process. This typically takes around 2 minutes, depending on network speed. Crucially, do not disconnect the USB connection during the update procedure.

Important Notes for Update:

• The uplink program is compatible with all Windows series computers. Ensure you are using an officially certified Windows OS for proper driver installation.
• Some antivirus software may flag the installation. It is recommended to temporarily disable your antivirus software before installation, as the software is clean and verified.
• If you encounter issues with Microsoft Modem drivers during installation and are not using a Windows system, this can usually be ignored.
• Should the product malfunction after an update, reinstalling the update may resolve the issue. To force the device into update mode, hold down any button until the update mode is activated, then repeat the update installation steps.
