Battery Safety Cautions:

1 Appearance
The Hikvision DS-PR1-WE/WB Wireless Repeater is a compact device designed to extend the range of wireless security systems.
Device Indicators and Ports:
- 1. Fault Indicator: (LED) Indicates device faults.
- 2. Signal Strength Indicator: (LED) Shows the signal strength from the control panel.
- 3. Power Indicator: (LED) Indicates the power status.
- 4. Tamper Switch: An internal switch that detects if the device casing has been opened.
- 5. Power Switch: A physical button to turn the device on or off.
- 6. Serial Port: A connector, likely for diagnostics or initial setup.
- 7. Power Interface: The port for connecting the power adapter.

2 Enrollment
Enrollment is the process of adding the repeater to a compatible control panel. The process typically completes in 3 to 10 seconds.
Method 1: Enroll the Peripheral Locally
- On the control panel's mobile app, tap the "Enrollment Mode" button to put the control panel into enrollment status.
- Loosen the screw on the repeater and remove its rear panel.
- Power on the repeater; it will be automatically enrolled to the control panel.

Method 2: Enroll the Peripheral with QR and Serial No.
- In the app, tap the "+" icon.

- Loosen the screw and remove the rear panel of the repeater.
- Power on the repeater; it will be automatically enrolled to the control panel.

Note for Re-enrollment: To re-enroll the device, power it off, hold the tamper switch, and then power it on synchronously.
3 Installation
Proper installation ensures optimal performance and signal strength.
3.1 Check Signal Strength
Enter the signal checking mode on the control panel. The repeater's indicators will show the signal status:
- Solid Green for 3 seconds: Strong Signal
- Solid Orange for 3 seconds: Medium Signal
- Solid Red for 3 seconds: Weak Signal
- Red light flashes for 3 seconds: Failure

3.2 Install the Device
- Cable Routing: Route the power cable through the bottom cable hole or a knock-out cable hole.

4 Set up with App
Configure and manage the repeater using the Hikvision mobile application.
- On the device list page of the app, tap the AX PRO control panel and log in if required.
- Navigate to the Repeater device. You can view its status, including battery, mains power, signal strength, connection status, connected devices, and lid status.
- Tap the settings icon (typically in the upper right corner) to access configuration options.

5 Operation Caution and Device Maintenance
Follow these guidelines for safe operation and to prevent damage:
- Comply with all local electrical safety, fire prevention, and related regulations.
- Do not drop the device or subject it to physical shock. Avoid installation on vibrating surfaces or places prone to shock, as this can cause damage.
- Ensure power is disconnected before wiring, installing, or dismantling the device.
- If smoke, odors, or unusual noise occurs, turn off the power immediately, unplug the power cable, and contact the service center.
- Avoid high electromagnetism radiation.
- Do not place the device in extremely hot, cold, dusty, or damp locations.
- Keep the device for indoor use away from rain and moisture.
- Do not expose the equipment to direct sunlight, low ventilation, or heat sources like heaters or radiators.
- Do not aim the device at the sun or excessively bright places, as this may cause blooming or smearing, affecting sensor endurance.
- Improper battery use or replacement can lead to explosion hazards. Use only the same or equivalent battery type. Dispose of used batteries according to manufacturer instructions and local regulations.
- Do not expose the device to corrosive gas, as it may cause damage.
- Do not expose the device to explosive situations.
