1. Important Safety Instructions

Hearing Safety

To prevent hearing damage, limit the time you use the headphones at high volume and set the volume to a safe level. The higher the volume, the shorter the safe listening time.

  • Listen at a reasonable volume for reasonable periods.
  • Be aware of your hearing as you adapt to the volume.
  • Do not turn the volume so high that you cannot hear surrounding sounds.
  • Use caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
  • Excessive sound pressure from headphones can cause hearing loss.
  • It is recommended not to wear both earbuds while driving, as this may be illegal in some areas.
  • For safety reasons, avoid letting music or phone calls distract you while driving or in other potentially hazardous environments.

General Information

To prevent damage or malfunction:

  • Do not expose the headphones to high temperatures.
  • Do not drop the headphones.

  • Do not expose the integrated battery to high temperatures such as direct sunlight, open flames, or similar environments.
  • Improper battery replacement may result in an explosion hazard. Replace only with the same type of battery.
  • To achieve a specific IP rating, the charging port cover must be closed.
  • Disposing of a battery into a fire or hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting a battery, can result in an explosion.
  • Leaving a battery in an extremely high surrounding temperature can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • Leaving a battery in an extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • To avoid fire risk, the equipment should only be powered by an external power source with an output that complies with PS1 (output capacity less than 15W).

3. Getting Started

Charging the Earbuds

Place the earbuds in the charging case. The earbuds will start charging.

? Note: For optimal battery performance and lifespan, charge the earbuds for 2 hours before first use.

  • Only use the original USB-C charging cable to avoid any damage.
  • Charge after finishing calls. Connecting the headphones to a charger will automatically turn them off.
  • If the headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery may lose its capacity. To prevent this loss, recharge the battery fully at least every three months.

Charging Case

Connect the USB-C cable to the charging case and the other end to a power source.

? Note: The charging case serves as a portable backup battery for the earbuds. When fully charged, the case can recharge the earbuds twice.

? Note: Typically, charging the earbuds or the charging case via USB cable takes about 2 hours.

Wearing the Earbuds

Pairing Your Earbuds with a Bluetooth Device for the First Time

  1. Ensure the earbuds are fully charged and powered off.
  2. Open the charging case lid and take out the earbuds. The earbuds will power on automatically. The master earbud's LED will flash blue and white alternately, while the other earbud's LED will be off.
  3. The earbuds are now in pairing mode and can be paired with Bluetooth devices (e.g., your phone).
  4. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device.
  5. Pair the earbuds with your Bluetooth device. Refer to your device's user manual.

Example Pairing Process:

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device and select "Philips TAQ4120".
  2. If prompted for a passcode, enter "0000" (four zeros). For devices with Bluetooth 3.0 or higher, a passcode is not required.

? Note: If the earbuds are powered on and do not find any previously connected Bluetooth devices, they will automatically enter pairing mode after approximately 15 seconds. You can then find and connect to the earbuds via your phone.

Single Earbud (Mono Mode)

Take out either the left or right earbud from the charging case for mono mode. The earbud will power on automatically.

? Note: Taking out the second earbud from the charging case will automatically pair both earbuds.

Pairing with Another Bluetooth Device

If you want to pair another Bluetooth device with your earbuds, simply disconnect the currently connected Bluetooth device and follow the standard pairing procedure with the new device.

? Note: The earbuds can store up to 4 paired devices. If you attempt to pair a fifth device, the earliest paired device will be replaced by the newest one.

4. Using the Headphones

Connecting to Bluetooth Devices

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device.
  2. Open the charging case lid and take out the earbuds. The white LED indicator will flash.
  3. The earbuds will search for the last connected Bluetooth device and automatically reconnect. If the last connected device is unavailable, the earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode. You can then find and connect to the earbuds via your phone.

? Note: If you turn on the headphones before turning on the Bluetooth function on your device, you may need to manually connect the headphones via your device's Bluetooth menu.

? Note: On some Bluetooth devices, the headphones may not connect automatically. In such cases, go to your device's Bluetooth menu and manually connect the headphones.
