A remote control is also provided for convenience, especially when the heater is installed at a high level. This product is intended for use in well-insulated spaces or for occasional heating.
User Instructions
Model: SMAWHHEAT2000WHOR705
Power: AC230V 50-60Hz 2000W Class II
Important Safety Note: These instructions are crucial for your safety. Please read them thoroughly before use and keep them for future reference.
If you have any doubts about installing this product, consult a qualified electrician.
Installation Instructions
This product is suitable for indoor use only and is IP22 rated. It cannot be used underwater. Avoid attaching the heater to surfaces that are damp, freshly painted, or electrically conductive (e.g., metallic surfaces).
Installation diagram showing four drill points on a wall, with measurements indicating hole size (8mm), bracket spacing (360mm), and screw depth (5-7mm). It illustrates drilling holes, inserting wall plugs, and attaching the mounting bracket with screws.
- Drill holes on the wall according to the diagram. Warning: Ensure safety distances shown in the diagram are maintained.
- Fit the plastic wall plugs into the drilled holes and insert the screws.
- Hang the unit on the screws gently. Warning: Before using the heater, ensure it is mounted tightly on the wall.
Location of Installation
This product can be installed in a bathroom, but only within the area designated by the IP rating – Zone 3. Refer to the location information below.
The product is rated as IP24 and suitable for indoor use only. If installed in a bathroom, it must be located within Zone 3.
Diagram illustrating bathroom electrical safety zones. Zone 0 is the area inside the bath or shower. Zone 1 is the area above the bath or basin up to 2.25m height. Zone 2 extends 0.6m horizontally from the bath/basin edge and up to 2.25m height. Zone 3 is any area outside these zones where water jets are not expected.
- Zone 0: The area inside a bath or inside the shower. This area requires low voltage and an IP67 rating.
- Zone 1: The area above the bath to a height of 2.25m (7' 4") from the floor. If the light is 240V, a 30mA residual current device (RCD) must also be used to protect the circuit in this zone.
- Zone 2: An area stretching 0.6m (1' 11"") outside the perimeter of the bath and to a height of 2.25m (7' 4"") from the floor. It is also good practice to consider the area around a wash basin, within a 60cm (1' 11"") radius of any tap, as Zone 2.
- Zone 3: Anywhere outside Zones 0, 1, and 2, and where no water jet is likely to be used. If there is a likelihood of water jets being used for cleaning purposes in zones 1, 2, and 3, a fitting rated a minimum of IP65 must be used.
Safety Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before operating the heater.
- Before using, set the power-level switch (located at the back of the heater) to "I". A slight odour may be present during the first few minutes of initial use or after storage; this is normal and will disappear quickly.
