The OFI Testing Equipment (OFITE) High Temperature High Pressure (HTHP) Filter Press is engineered to assess the filtration properties of various fluids, including drilling fluids, cement slurries, fracturing fluids, and completion fluids. This evaluation is conducted under simulated downhole conditions of elevated temperatures and pressures, crucial for understanding fluid behavior in geological formations.
OFITE offers these HTHP filtration units in two primary capacities: 175 mL for field portability and 500 mL for laboratory applications requiring higher temperature and pressure capabilities. All OFITE filtration devices are designed to meet American Petroleum Institute (API) specifications.
The system utilizes a controlled pressure source, typically Nitrogen or Carbon Dioxide, and features pressure manifolds to replicate downhole differential pressures while preventing fluid evaporation. A range of filter media, such as API filter paper, cement screens, and ceramic filters, can be employed to match specific testing requirements.
This manual covers models #171-181-N (115 Volt) and #171-181-1-N (230 Volt). For more information on OFITE products and services, visit www.ofite.com.
