Safety Instructions
Always read and follow all safety instructions and warnings provided in the manual to prevent electric shock, fire, and serious injury.
- Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate in explosive atmospheres. Keep children and bystanders away.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure plugs match sockets. Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces. Keep tools dry. Do not carry by the power cord. Use appropriate extension cords for outdoor use. Use a residual current device (RCD) in damp conditions.
- Personal Safety: Stay alert, use common sense, and do not operate when tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses. Remove adjustment tools before switching on. Maintain a secure footing and balance. Wear suitable clothing; avoid loose clothing or jewelry. Ensure dust extraction/collection facilities are used where provided.
- Tool Handling: Do not overload the tool. Do not use tools with defective switches. Remove battery/unplug before making adjustments or changing accessories. Keep tools out of reach of children. Maintain tools and accessories carefully; replace damaged parts. Keep cutting edges sharp and clean.
- Battery Handling: Use only recommended chargers. Do not expose batteries to fire or extreme temperatures. Do not open batteries. Protect batteries from heat, fire, dirt, water, and moisture.
Operation
Inserting the Battery: Insert the charged battery (5) into the handle until it clicks into place. Ensure the rotation direction switch (6) is in the center position to prevent accidental starting.
Setting Rotation Direction: Use the rotation direction switch (6) only when the tool is stopped. Push left for clockwise rotation (drilling, screwing) and right for counter-clockwise rotation (unscrewing).
Selecting Torque: Use the torque selection ring (2) to set the desired torque (15 levels). The tool stops when the screw is flush or the set torque is reached. Position ⚙️ (gear symbol) for drilling (overload clutch deactivated).
Mechanical Gear Selection: Use the gear selector (3) only when the tool is stopped. Gear I offers lower speed for screwing and larger drill bits. Gear II offers higher speed for smaller drill bits. Always push the selector fully to engage the gear.
Switching On/Off: Press and hold the On/Off switch (7) to operate the tool. The work light (9) illuminates when the switch is pressed and remains lit for approximately 10 seconds after release, aiding visibility in poor lighting conditions.
Speed Control: The speed can be infinitely adjusted by varying the pressure on the On/Off switch (7).
Spindle Lock (Auto-Lock): When the On/Off switch (7) is not pressed, the drill spindle and tool holder (1) are locked, allowing manual screw driving even with a discharged battery.
Overload Protection: The tool is protected against overload and overheating. If overloaded or operated outside the specified temperature range, power output may be reduced or the tool may shut off. It will resume full power once it returns to the operating temperature range.
Battery Charge Indicator: The battery charge level indicator (8) displays the remaining battery capacity using 3 green LEDs when the On/Off switch (7) is partially or fully pressed.
Working Tips: Place the tool on the screw only when it is stopped. After prolonged low-speed operation, run the tool at maximum speed for approximately 3 minutes to cool down. Use sharp HSS drill bits for metal drilling. Pre-drill with a pilot hole for larger screws in hard materials.
