Warranty Notice
Limited Warranty does NOT cover:
- Any costs associated with the repair or replacement of the Product including labor, installation or other costs incurred by you, and in particular, any costs relating to the removal or replacement of any Product that is soldered or otherwise permanently affixed to any printed circuit board; OR
- Damage to the Product due to external causes, including accident, problems with electrical power, abnormal electrical, mechanical or environmental conditions, usage not in accordance with product instructions, misuse, neglect, alteration, repair, improper installation, or improper testing; OR
- Any Product which has been modified or operated outside of specifications or where the original identification markings (trademark or serial number) has been removed, altered or obliterated from the Product, or where the label or screw on the exterior of the Product is removed or broken.
Introduction
Thank you for choosing the new Hyundai Hybook. This guide serves to enable users to familiarize themselves with our product as quickly as possible. Below is a brief introduction to the key layout, features, definitions in figures and words.
Precautions Before Use:
This production is suitable for use in non-tropic areas below 2,000 meters, and in the mark on the nameplate indicates the product is suitable for use in non-tropic areas.
- Prevent the Hybook from falling to the ground or being strongly impacted otherwise.
- Not for long-term use in an environment where the air is too hot (<35°C), too humid or with too much dust. Do not expose the Hybook directly to sunlight.
- Avoid using in strong magnetic or strong static environment as much as possible.
- Once any water or other liquid splashes onto the Hybook, leave it open and do not use it until it dries out.
- Do not clean the Hybook with any detergents, chemicals or liquids to avoid causing damage due to corrosion and becoming damp. If cleaning is necessary, clean it with a dry soft cloth.
- Hyundai shall not be held responsible for any loss or deletion of data inside the Hybook due to abnormal software and hardware operation, maintenance or any other accident.
- Please back up your Hybook to avoid any loss of important data or information.
- Please do not disassemble the Hybook by yourself; otherwise you will lose the right to warranty.
- Quick Start Guide and relevant software shall be updated at any time. Please visit www.hyundaitechnology.com to check for available software updates.
- Replacement with incorrect type of batteries may cause explosion. Make sure to use original batteries.
Key Layout And Definitions
The diagram illustrates the layout of the Hyundai Hybook laptop. Key components are numbered for identification:
- 1. Power Button: Press to start or turn off the device. Can also be used to enter or wake from sleep mode.
- 2. Front Camera: For taking pictures and shooting video.
- 3. Touchpad: Allows direct operation of the device.
- 4. Keyboard Board: Allows direct operation of the device.
- 5. Indicators:
- a) Green light: Caps Lock is on.
- b) Charging indicator: Red light indicates charging.
- c) Work light: Bright green when the machine is running.
- 6. USB 2.0 Port: For connecting USB drives, mice, or keyboards.
- 7. Audio Jack: 3.5 mm audio output.
- 8. MicroSD Slot: Supports cards up to 256GB.
- 9. DC Charging Base: For connecting the 12V / 2A charger.
- 10. USB 3.0 Port: For connecting USB drives, mice, or keyboards.
- 11. Mini-HDMI Interface: For high-definition multimedia output.
- 12. Speakers: Built-in speakers for audio output without external devices.
- 13. Expandable M.2 SATA SSD Slot: For storage expansion.
Interface Introduction
The start screen displays various applications pinned as 'magnets'. Click an application to launch it. A Microsoft account login is required for most applications to run.
The screenshot shows the Windows 10 Start screen with various pre-installed applications like Mail, Calendar, Photos, Microsoft Edge, Twitter, and more. It also features the search bar and the taskbar.
Applications Introduction:
Applications can be opened from the start screen or the homepage. To add multiple applications to the Start screen:
- Right-click on the desired application icon.
- Select 'Pin to Start'.
Conversely, to change or delete an application from the startup screen: (1) Right-click the application, and then select 'Unpin from Start'.
Menu Bar
The menu bar appears when the Windows home button is clicked. It provides access to common functions:
- [File Explorer Icon] File Explorer: Manage files and applications.
- [Settings Icon] Settings: Configure device settings.
- [All Apps Icon] All apps: Browse and select applications.
- [Power Icon] Power: Access sleep, shutdown, and restart options.
Search Menu:
After logging in, the search function can be used with preferred language or text dialogue. If not logged in, only text searches are available. The screenshot shows a search prompt indicating no web connection but the ability to search local files. It also advises checking internet connectivity.
Device Menu and Multitasking
Clicking the notification menu (Action Center) provides quick access to system settings and notifications. The screenshot shows the Action Center with options like Tablet mode, Brightness, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and quick settings.
The multitasking view allows users to manage multiple open applications and virtual desktops. The screenshot displays four open windows (File Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and two others) and options for creating new desktops.
Basic Operations
To manage power states: A short press of the power button initiates sleep mode. For shutdown or restart, access the power options from the menu.
