Set It Up!
- Choose a Banker. The Banker manages the Bank's Vibranium, buildings, Title Deed cards, and auctions. The Banker can play but must keep their Vibranium separate.
- Give each player 5 Vibranium (worth 1 each) and 5 Vibranium (worth 5 each), totaling 30 Vibranium.
- Shuffle the Wakanda cards and place them facedown.
- Shuffle the Talokan cards and place them facedown.
- Each player chooses a token: silver for Wakandans, gold for Talokanil. Place tokens on GO.
- Place the die by the gameboard.
How to Play
Who Goes First?
Each player rolls the die. The highest roller starts, and play moves to the left.
On Your Turn
- Roll the die.
- Move your token clockwise that number of spaces.
- Carry out the rules of the board space you landed on.
- Your turn ends. Pass the die to your left.
How to Win: Move around the board, control locations, collect Vibranium from other players. The last player with Vibranium wins.
The Board Spaces
Properties
Uncontrolled Properties: When landing on an uncontrolled location or facility, you must either buy it or auction it. To buy, pay the price on the board space and take the Title Deed card. If you don't want to buy, the Banker auctions it, starting bids at 1 Vibranium. The highest bidder pays the Bank.
Controlled Properties: When landing on a property owned by another player, you must pay rent if asked before the next player rolls. Rent is shown on the Title Deed card.
Rent with Color Set: When you control both locations in a color set, you can double the rent. You can also add buildings to charge even more rent.
Locations: Pay the rent shown on the Title Deed card.
Facilities: There are two facilities: Great Ball Court and Landing Pad. Rent is determined by the die roll. If the owner has 1 facility, rent is the die roll amount. If the owner has 2 facilities, rent is two times the die roll.
Action Spaces
- GO: Collect 4 Vibranium from the Bank when passing or landing on GO.
- Free Parking: Nothing happens.
- Transport: Move to any location between that Transport space and the next. Follow the rules of the space you land on. Collect 4 Vibranium if you pass GO. You can choose not to move.
- Wakanda and Talokan: Take the top card from the matching deck. Follow the card's instructions. Return the card to the bottom of the deck when done.
- Just Visiting: If you land here, place your token in the Just Visiting section.
- Go to Jail: Move your token to the In Jail space immediately. Do not collect 4 Vibranium for passing GO. Your turn ends. You can still collect rent, bid in auctions, add buildings, mortgage, and trade while in Jail.
How Do I Get Out of Jail?
- Pay 1 Vibranium at the start of your next turn, then roll and move normally.
- Use a Get Out of Jail Free card at the start of your next turn. Place the card at the bottom of the appropriate deck, then roll and move.
- Roll a 6 on your next turn. Use this roll to move, and your turn ends. You have 3 turns to try for a 6. If you don't roll a 6 by your third turn, pay 1 Vibranium and use that roll to move.
Buildings
Once you get a color set, you can add buildings. Pay the Bank the cost on the Title Deed card and place a building in your side's color (purple for Wakandans, red for Talokanil) on the location. You can only have 1 building per location. You cannot add a building if any location in its color set is mortgaged.
Not enough buildings? If multiple players want the last building, the Banker auctions it, starting at 1 Vibranium.
No buildings left? You can't buy any until someone sells theirs back.
Deals & Trades
You can buy, sell, or trade property with other players at any time. You must sell all buildings on a color set to the Bank before selling or trading a location. You cannot sell or trade buildings to another player. Property can be traded for cash, other property, and/or Get Out of Jail Free cards. Mortgaged property can be traded at an agreed-upon price. The new owner can repay the mortgage immediately or on a later turn.
Help! I Can't Pay!
Try to obtain Vibranium: Sell buildings back to the Bank for their cost or mortgage properties.
Selling Buildings: Sell buildings to the Bank for their cost.
Mortgaging Property: Sell all buildings in a color set to the Bank. Turn the Title Deed card facedown and collect the mortgage value from the Bank. To repay a mortgage, pay the unmortgage cost to the Bank and turn the card faceup. Rent cannot be collected on mortgaged properties.
If you're still in debt:
- Owe another player? Give them all your mortgaged properties, Get Out of Jail Free cards, and any other cards. The new owner may repay the mortgage immediately or later.
- Owe the Bank? Return all properties to the Bank (mortgages are canceled). All properties are immediately put up for auction. Return any Get Out of Jail Free cards and other cards to the bottom of their decks.
The remaining players continue until only one person is left. That player wins!
Top Tips
- Don't use house rules to keep the game fast-paced.
- Always auction when a player doesn't want to take control of a landed-on property.
- Never loan Vibranium to other players or make deals not to charge rent.
- Do not put Vibranium in the center of the board; there's no bonus for landing on Free Parking.
