NUX B-6 PRO Wireless System for Wind Instruments
Owner's Manual
Overview
The NUX B-6 PRO is a premium wireless transmission system designed specifically for wind instruments. It operates on the globally available 2.4GHz frequency band, offering automatic pairing and channel detection for effortless setup. Simply power on the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX), and they pair within seconds. The system delivers 24-bit/48kHz audio with an advanced algorithm, ensuring stable, high-quality sound with ultra-low latency (as low as 3.6ms) and a transmission range of up to 50 meters (165 feet). Tailored frequency response curves are included to suit various wind instruments, enhancing tonal accuracy and performance. The B-6 PRO is lightweight and easy to install, primarily designed for soprano, alto, and tenor instruments, but also compatible with trumpets and other wind instruments. Its secure clip-on design attaches comfortably to the instrument without interfering with playability, addressing common sound-capture challenges. The transmitter (TX) can be docked on the receiver (RX) for charging, making it ideal for both practice and performance.

Installation
To install the system:
- Insert the gooseneck microphone's USB-C plug into the TX transmitter's USB-C port until it clicks.
- Press the clips on the transmitter to open them, then attach the transmitter to the edge of the instrument's mouthpiece.
- Adjust the gooseneck microphone so the head points towards the instrument's bell at an optimal distance.
Note: Adjusting the microphone position (on-axis or off-axis to the bell) can alter the tone. Experiment to find your preferred sound.
Operating Instructions
Automatic Pairing
The B-6 PRO units are pre-paired from the factory. When powered on, they automatically connect on the best channel.
- Turn on both the TX and RX units. They will automatically recognize and pair within seconds.
- The RX screen will show signal input level, connection quality, and battery status for both units.
- Attach the TX transmitter to the mouthpiece using its clip. The system is now ready for use.
- The footswitch can be used to control the tuner or boost effect, with customizable functions available in the menu.
Manual Re-Pairing of ID
If re-pairing is needed, follow these steps:
- Turn on the RX receiver. The screen will display "Scanning." Press and hold the "Back" button until "Pairing" appears.
- Turn on the TX transmitter and press its "Main Button." The TX and RX will begin pairing.
- Once successful, the screen will display "PAIRED."
Connection Scenarios
The B-6 PRO RX can connect to amplifiers or mixing consoles. Effects loops can be integrated using the send/return ports.

Charging
Charging the RX (Receiver)
Use the provided DC 9V 1.2A power adapter. Plug it into the RX's DC port. Caution: Only use the original adapter to prevent damage.
Charging the TX (Transmitter)
There are two methods:
- Place the powered-on RX receiver and the TX transmitter in the magnetic charging position. The TX's LED indicator will turn red while charging.
- Use a 5V/500mA adapter with the USB-C port on the TX transmitter.
Caution: The USB-C port on the TX is not for charging the RX.
Tips and Methods to Improve Wireless System Performance
- Check for nearby Wi-Fi devices and select the best "Low Latency" or "Stable" mode for optimal transmission.
- Ensure the RX receiver is fully charged and powered on.
- Minimize obstructions between the TX and RX units.
- Reduce the distance between TX and RX, especially on stage, using a long cable to connect the RX to the console/speaker if necessary.
- Maintain at least 1 meter separation between multiple wireless systems.
- Keep the RX away from Wi-Fi access points, computers, Bluetooth devices, and other 2.4 GHz sources.
- Turn off unnecessary Wi-Fi on other devices.
- Avoid high Wi-Fi traffic activities (large downloads, streaming).
- Avoid placing TX/RX near metal surfaces or dense materials.
- Identify and avoid "blind spots" during sound checks.
- Optimal operating distance is 10m (33 ft) to 35m (115 ft).
