Ambient Conditions

Temperature: min. -10°C / 14°F / max. +60°C / 140°F

Warning: The indicated temperature ranges are applicable to all components of the pump. These limits must be respected to avoid damage or malfunctioning.

Operating Cycle

The pump can operate on a continuous cycle under the following conditions:

Higher pressures/ampere draw are possible with On/Off cycles, allowing the motor to cool down. Long pipelines, reduced diameters, bottlenecks, or dispensing guns can affect operating pressure. Ensure pressure and electrical draw do not exceed specified values.

Transportation and Handling

Due to its limited weight and dimensions, the pump does not require special handling or lifting equipment. When handling manually, wear normal personal protective gear (e.g., safety shoes with toe piece). The pump is carefully packed prior to shipment. Upon receiving, inspect packaging for damages and store the pump in a dry area at a temperature between -30°C (-22°F) and +70°C (158°F).

Installation

It is recommended that the pump be used according to normative safety standards and the following precautions.

Preliminary Checks

Positioning

The pump can be mounted in any position. Use suitable diameter screws corresponding to the mounting holes. Ensure correct directional flow as indicated by the arrow on the top plate. Connect the positive pole (+) of the battery supply to the red wire on the motor end-cap and the negative pole (-) to the black wire. Use adequate terminal blocks and connectors for tight fitment. Improper wiring can cause power losses and/or overheating of cabling.

Warning: It is the responsibility of the installation technician to ensure a correctly designed circuit installation fitted according to regulations. Environmental risks must be taken into account.

Tubing Connections

Electrical Connection

Warning: Due to the EMI filter, the pump is NOT suitable for switching applications (PWM driver).

The electrical installation must include a protection fuse suitably rated as indicated on the motor label.

Warranty expires if no fuse is utilized.

Always mount the anti-vibration rubber fittings supplied with the pump kit to reduce noise and vibration. Electrical cabling size should depend on the distance between the pump and the battery/power supply (refer to Motor Data Table). Undersized cabling can cause overheating of electrical wiring, leading to a fire hazard, and voltage drop at the motor terminals, reducing efficiency. The flow rate indicated on the motor label is achieved with the internal tube diameter specified in the Pump Data Table. Tubes with smaller diameters will increase current and risk motor overheating.

Troubleshooting

Why the Pump Will Not Prime Itself?

Good Practices Ensuring a Well Functioning Pump

If the pump will not be used for at least 30 days (especially with water), run fresh water through it, then loosen the front plate screws. Upon re-use, run the pump briefly and tighten the screws again. Check motor current value at maximum operating pressure against motor label specifications.

Normal Maintenance

Indicators That the Pump is Functioning Correctly

To Open the Pump

It is recommended to consult a specialized service technician for any repair work or replacement of worn internal components, using exclusively original spare parts. During the warranty period, this must be done only by authorized MARCO S.p.A. personnel, otherwise the warranty will expire.

Environmental Disposal

It is the responsibility of the owner to dispose of this product via specific refuse collection structures indicated by the government or local governing authorities.

Packaging Environmental Disposal

Users are invited to effect proper waste separation to facilitate the recycling of packaging materials.

Warranty

  1. The warranty period is 2 years from the date of purchase upon presentation of the sales invoice.
  2. If the original sales invoice is not available, the 2-year warranty period will be valid from the production date.
  3. The warranty becomes null and void in case of incorrect utilization or disregard of the instructions contained herein.
  4. The warranty covers original production defects only.
  5. The warranty does not cover any related installation costs.
  6. Transport costs are refundable only if the warranty claim is duly accepted by MARCO Spa and are limited to shipment costs between MARCO Spa warehouse and the client's delivery address.
  7. No credit notes or replacement items will be issued prior to the receipt and proper testing of any MARCO goods deemed faulty.

Diagrams

Electrical Absorption

This diagram shows the electrical current (Amps) drawn by the pump at 24V across a temperature range from 25°C to 45°C. The current is approximately 1.3A at 25°C and decreases slightly to about 1.0A at 45°C.

Flow Rate

This diagram illustrates the flow rate in liters per minute (l/min) as a function of temperature (°C) for different hose diameters: Ø 12, Ø 6, and Ø 8. For all diameters, the flow rate increases with temperature. For example, at 45°C, the flow rate is approximately 3.3 l/min for Ø 12, 1.0 l/min for Ø 6, and 2.0 l/min for Ø 8.
